It’s so fun getting caught up with your projects. This one and the “fail” before it are so wonderful. It’s just a very pretty stone and you captured it beautifully. I do like the gold - and it doesn’t look unreal. It looks like it should be there, if that makes any sense.

The next time you need bits of gold, try baking your gold for ten minutes and grating it with a food grater after it’s cooled! You get shavings that crumble nicely and randomly.

Sheer genius. I'm like you, I don't do gold and always thinking I must get some gold findings but then there's always something else I want so the idea gets put back down to the bottom of the list :-) x

I'm so glad to find this tutorial. I really did not want to put acrylic paint in my clay, and had had no alternate idea except for Fimo decor, which. did not try. So, now, resuming the tutorial :)
