Why a no-date? I would sorely miss it on my Invicta Pro Divers. The fat Merc hour hand, or really anything making the hour hand different, also makes reading easier for certain. Think long term, and think of the possibility of suddenly realising your eyes not being what they used to be. Rolex originally had plenty of date models, and their web-site options have it to this day! I find it handy for sure, and a cyclops is most welcome when you get older, trust me on that one. If you want a keeper, a cyclops date model will become a companion for life. Mine has already bumped the non-cyclops watches off the wrist list in my collection, and I can actually read the date without using a loupe! Just search for "diver watch", "200 meter watch", "steeldive watch", "addiesdive watch", "Pagani watch", "NH35A watch" on AliExpress, and see what you find. Tandorio, SteelDive, AddiesDive, Pagani are all good, and have a lot of models now.

Hi 👋 thx for watching! Wrt currencies, I use the ccy that applies to the majority of my audience also, usd is more transferrable across the continents. People (in general) know their ccy exchange rates vs the dollar, not so much against EUR or GBP..

@@weswatches No they aren't below $150. They are $550 and $650 respectively. I understand different people rate things differently but I don't consider price when determining how good an homage is compared to it's original. I don't know if you're familiar with the Watchco manufactured Seamaster 300's but many collectors consider the Helson model on par with that watch, which is assembled from stockpiled OEM Omega parts by certified Omega AD's which can still be found from approximately $3K to $6K

I took a look and of course those homages have merit as well, with their own fan base and audience. Yet a homage is technically an inpired look. Not a copy. Hence watch aesthetics, build materials and overall notion of value is a personal ordeal. I do see your perspective, yet for the budget price range I usually cover $10-$250 I cannot see much competition 🤔

@@weswatches I agree, the definition of a homage has as many answers as people you ask. A more accurate title for your video would have been "Best *Buget* Seamaster 300 Homage Review" If you meant to stay within the $100-$250 range, I would look at the Watchdives Seamaster 300 homage options long before I would consider a Hruodland. But to each his own! ☮

THE NH35 movement is designed for models that do have a date window, agreed. BUT this feature doesn't inherently make a watch bad! it's more of a characteristic of using a versatile movement across different watch models. For watch enthusiasts, this might be a minor annoyance or a non-issue, depending on personal preference and the quality of the rest of the watch... frustrating to see such comments on these budget timepieces that bring SO MUCH value

@@weswatches i agree that its a personal preference issue and i do not mean to frustrate you buddy and i do own a Hroudland turbine watch. Personally id prefer a mineral crystal that is more clear than sapphire, more shatter resistant and i can polish any scratches myself. I didnt say its a bad affordable watch. I just think you should mention it and if it doesn't bother you, say that as well..

On second thought, you do make a good point ☝️I should have pointed that out...
