I WISH I CAN HAVE SURGERY ON MY PAINFUL FOOT

I've been walking on two shitty feet for half of my life or longer, about 16or18years. I just found out it is bilateral torsal coalition. I'm at the point of being miserable. Can't even find a doc to offer relief let alone one who seems to care about anything but fusing both ankles together, which I really don't want. Half the time I'm a gimp from my feet&half the time I'm a gimp because of my back trying to compensate for walking worse than a double amputee. Being on my feet 16hrs a day for work is also horrible for recovering at all during the off time. It sucks. I hate it. Wish i could make it out there and could afford the time off for recovery.

What is the average recovery period? I have had several recommendations from different podiatrists and orthopedic surgeons to fuse my bones together to eliminate the friction which seams to evasive for me, but also the recovery period anywhere from 6mo to a year. Which with my line of work would put me out of work until fully recovered.
