This episode is such a great reflection of why these kids are the way that they are. They’re cold, distant, self centered. But they not only inherit those traits from their father…. they use them as a defense system against him and others. Logan hitting that kid with a can without any remorse was a glimpse of what they may have went through. Up until that point, Gerri and the rest of the team saw Kendall and Roman as spoiled, entitled leeches. Which they are. But first and foremost they’re just kids who were mentally and physically abused by one of the most powerful men in the entire country/world.

Honestly blows my mind how many British actors just nail the American accents to the point where there's never a single slip up, like when Tom goes "well, I shouldn't be, Greg", I could never in a million year guess he's British lol These days whenever I watch something I play a game "guess the % of brits" and I try to guess how many American characters are played by Brits, it's usually more than you'd think 😂

The actors playing Greg and Tom are brilliant I’m hoping they won some awards the whole show is well acted but these 2 seem to have tough roles especially Greg having to play someone so awkward.

A quote which I think is good to describe the characters in this show is one from Tyrion in S6 of Game of Thrones. "I don't trust the masters. I trust their self interest." Characters in Succession are not trustworthy but they are all climbing the same ladder, even Logan. You can trust they will do what needs to be done to get to the top.

Rupert Murdoch built an empire, after he was given an existing leading newspaper company by his dad Keith Murdoch. He turned that into Newscorp, who owns a majority of Australian newspaper market and radio stations and a paytv network, plus dozens of international news outlets (ie: new york post, wallstreet journal. Which he then founded Fox based on those profits. So he did build things, but from a privileged position already.

I think you guys are getting close in your thoughts about Roman, but not quite there. We did get one one scene in which he showed arousal, and you have to keep in mind what happened there for him to actually get aroused with Grace. You'll get more on Roman's weirdness later.

Small gripe about Greg's drive with gramps. If the drive took 12 hours then how was it daylight when they left and daylight when they arrived?

is that ambition or fear? Greg is at the bottom of the ladder. He thinks he could go to jail/get fired and scapegoated so it's not necessarily "ambition" if it's more about self-preservation.

I appreciate the way Aaron and Calvin take notes. Eric is the one who distracts with all the looking down. Why do you need notes? You are recording the whole time.

Did you watch their Dark reactions? Eric was trying to take notes without looking away from the screen because he didn't want to miss subtitled dialogue. I'm not sure how the notes made any sense at all.

Don't understand what their recording has to do with taking notes. So you think the best thing for them to do is stop and watch the recording every time they forget something to say or want to mention something, for hour long tv shows? That would be so time consuming and inefficient.

I think your forgetting these is a REACTION channel. You want your reaction to feel real plus they discuss afterward. Not sure what the problem is. I don’t think an Eric is distracting at all. He’s the best reviewer I know.
