Why is it such a necessity for you to root for a character at all? The moment you root for a character, you will start judging that particular character as per your own standards of ethics and morality and you will completely rob yourself of the joy of watching ambiguity and morally complex characters. Be a fly on the wall and let the show do it's thing. Trust me, it's the best way to watch a phenomenon like Succession that is significantly better than Beef.

This show is amazing. There aren't many channels reacting to it so i'm very happy you decided to. I don't if views to these reactions will be good enough but if they are not at least finish the show on your own time. It's worth it. I'm also hoping 🤞🏼 for a Ted Lasso reaction. If you need convincing ask Syntell he will tell you how good that show is.

I’d say first 5 episodes are slow, but if you really like well written shows then you’d have to stick with it and I can assure you it’ll be one of your favorite shows ever

This was me too. First 5 a bit slower but I liked the acting and writing, but after that it really goes up a gear and just keeps going up and up!

Reading up on Murdoch’s over the years- pillaging The World Media basically, monopolising it here in Australia, the Leveson Inquiry in the UK, and of course what have done jn the US- watching Succession was such a surreal experience. ‘It made sense dramaturgically’ iykyk 😅.

One of the best comments I heard about this show is that you don't necessarily get character progression. You actually just get more and more of these characters' personalities revealed to you. So it's funny when you are saying you pegged some of these people right away. Like fundamentally yes, but also, no.

This is absolutely one of my favorite shows of recent years but while I came to it when there were 3 seasons out, only once did I watch 2 episodes in a sitting. The ickiness, the pacing of the dialogue, the liveliness and emotional weight of the interactions, etc. really make every episode feel like a movie to me, I never have an urge to watch another episode the same day. It's just so much. So yeah I totally get how y'all feel, but yes it's absolutely worth the watch.

I’ve only seen Season 2 and bits of 3 due to a visit where my brother was binging my father on it a ways back, but gosh damn is the acting fantastic and every episode so darn engrossing. And don’t even get me started on Brian Cox!

Subbed and liked to encourage more succession, its being called a top 5 series of all time by many who finished it. As with most shows, there is a key episode number that locks you in as a viewer. And as with many other shows season 1 is the foundation and sometimes the “worst” the show is amazing and based on your reactions i think you two would absolutely love the journey here. Anyways, casting my vote for succession
