the way the three sibs react exactly the same as they do in the second ep of the first season when he's in hospital... kendall trying to take control, speak to the pilot, get ~plane medicine experts~ the same way he tried to be "king of the hospital", roman so utterly convinced for so long that his dad literally can't die so there's no way he can be dead just like how he refused to accept what was happening the first time, and shiv trying to delay the inevitable by holding off on letting it all out to the public. in ep 2 she tried to get them to delay on an announcement as long as possible because she didn't want to make any firm decisions, in this ep she's asking if they can just circle in the plane until everyone's decided everything and then she can face facts. GOD the writing is so good. and the way in the last ep tom was saying to logan "you did it, you landed the plane"... ouch.

I love this episode but I kind of hate that so many people hype this episode to new reactors instead of just letting them experience it semi-blind. But hearing about how this episode was done is one of my favorite things. Logan was a force and it'll be interesting to see how the kids move on without him. When this aired, I called his death in both episodes 1 and 2 of this season yet when it unfolded, I was surprised still.

@28:24 I LOVE that you picked up on the subtleties of Matthew Macfadyen's acting. Tom's ability to stay calm under pressure is incredible. I picked up on this in 3x3 when he was making a pitch to advertisers and Hugo came in the room in the middle of his speech to tell him that the FBI was raiding the premises. I was impressed by his ability to calmly navigate that incident in real time.

Omg, 🥲 your excited face at the beginning. I was like somebody Hug this man!! 😩 So many moving parts in this insane episode. Logan was an absolute BASTARD until his very end. Stabbing Gerri in the back, sending Roman to deliver the news , & completely snubbing his Eldest son’s wedding. Even when he was feuding with Shiv way back in season one, he couldn’t resist the urge to show up & spite her. He devastated those kids & left them devastated. If that’s not tragic I don’t know what is. Outstanding painful performances from everyone this episode.

It's easy to see why this episode won the Emmy for best writing and directing. Everything about it was just so perfectly done and resonated with so many people who have lost loved ones in a similar manner. It was also one of the most memorable nights of television simply because everyone watching was doing so in shock/disbelief. The live tweets during the episode resembled the kids' reactions because nobody knew if it was real or not. Like Roman, a lot of people thought Logan was pulling a stunt on his kids. It wasn't until the very end that everyone was like "Wow. Logan is actually dead." Great, great stuff.

I love seeing people really emotionally connect with media, it's relatable to me as a fellow "empath" lol. I also cried during this episode. I appreciate your reaction and also the story you shared about your friend. I haven’t experienced such a personal loss yet but even the thought still makes this ep hit hard for me

It's funny watching the intro knowing what's about to come

The way they delivered the news about it was perfect. I've accidentally seen a spoiler that Logan eventually dies and that it happens not on the last episode of the show and after KZfaq recommended me several videos of the reactor crying during "Connor's Wedding" I was 100% sure that this is the episode he dies. I went into it completely expecting it and they still managed to do this unexpectedly. When Roman answered the call from Tom I literally had a gut feeling like all the organs inside of me dropped down for a second in the same way it feels like in real life when you hear news like this.

For the record, there have been cases of people coming back to life after multiple hours of chest compressions, and CPR regularly lasts ~20ish minutes. So them still going after 10 minutes is not unusual, and 10 minutes gone by wasn't a guarantee that we would not survive

So "fun" fact, the final season poster has a plane in the reflection of the building in the top right foreshadowing Logan's death on a plane. Man, such an incresible episode though, this felt so real in how disconnected and distant you feel from the situation, just like the kids. Now imagine not knowing, "Hey, this episode is gonna be incredible," seeing this live was insane. Really appreciate you being so real in your reaction, cried with you, man. It's a tough one to get through goddamn.

Haven’t seen Dark and Severance is AMAZING, but Mr. Robot is done and is perfect from beginning to end, though season 2 is a bit frustrating. Severance only has 1 season out. Highly recommend Mr.Robot. One of my favorite shows of all time.
