Succession is like if The Godfather felt like Arrested Development.

The fact that the emmys consider Succession a drama and Barry a comedy is so funny to me because those two can’t be defined by just one genre

Tom and Greg scenes are the best imo. I love Matthew MacFayden's performance as Tom. His American accent is so good.

I like how the episodes are structured- mainly light/lots of comedy for the first 2/3 and then the last 1/3 of the episode is always weirdly dark and makes you feel horrible for one/all of the characters lol

I think it was Marcia who sabotaged Kendall. That was the push Logan needed to give the speech and get back to full strength. She was pushing him all episode and that close up on her at the end made me suspicious.

The characters in this show are so interesting/amazing, yet so toxic and full of shit. The dynamic between the siblings and Roy always intrigues me. Also, not to come off as a simp, but Shiv's actress is so beautiful to me. Kendall is probably the most fascinating sibling though, next to Roman.

LOL I think Episode 4 definitely showed that Greg is willing to go just as low as anybody else on this show. "Well I shouldn't be Greg..." lmao

I don’t think anyone set Kendall up. He was going to tell a joke about his dad never retiring (so he says) and the prompter just said it in that way because he was going to go “off the cuff.” I think it was a misunderstanding. But I may be wrong….that’s just how I interpreted it. ETA….now I see you got that!

The best thing about Friday? Seeing more of you watching Succession. The worst part of Friday.... finishing the episode. You are still in the setup stage of the show. As I said before, your opinion is going to shift on a lot of characters... then shift again.. lol.

LOL, I’ll say that this show will be a tough watch for you if you need to like the characters. I stopped watching The Boys because I found the characters insufferable and not very interesting. That wasn’t the case for Succession because even though they’re all self-centred, they are different degrees of terrible, and are really interesting/complex. So, you’ll eventually have people to root for. In this case, it became Tom, Craig, and Kendall. I still find Roman insufferable but I feel more sad for him after learning more about his issues.

it took me a long time to like Tom, but the miracleworkers who created this show made it happen. It's mainly his abuse of Greg I can't stand

I enjoy every character, except Kendall. He’s so embarrassing and takes himself way too seriously.
