Geoff _is_ a vampire. He's 800 years old. That's how his vocal range is so large: he's been working on expanding it for the last six centuries. If you have any doubts at all about his true nature, I direct you to This Is Halloween. That will clear up any questions.

As much as I liked Earl, I feel like his leaving has allowed Eli to really come into the limelight and shine. Although he’s always had an amazing voice (as witnessed in many of his earlier solo videos and recording) when VoicePlay really started using his voice more it strengthened the whole group. Even if you don’t react to the Full Sail videos (which you could - singly or as a group in one reaction) you should at least watch them. Layne gives a lot of insight into their production. And you get to meet Becca, who was in their more recent video, In My Room!

It was a high energy musical. I agree with Wildecat that when Earl left the group, Eli stepped up and has blossomed as tenor 1. He has gone from a B or B+ to an A+. He's bringing so much to VoicePlay - I loved what he did with Creep.

The behind the scenes videos Geoff mentioned at the end are awesome. These are public so don't need to be on their Patreon. These are in the studio. Layne shows a little bit how he does some of the sounds he makes and how he enhances their voices. There's another but I can't think of it right now. But it's still in the studio. Well worth watching.

yep, this is an old Voiceplay cover. I still love it, though, because I liked it even before I knew what Hamilton was. and, I think, exactly because I had heard their version and I had listened to it so much, I enjoyed the musical so much more when I finally watched it. this cover has a special place in my heart. however, I do not agree with you about baby Geoff, JD :D I am all for long-haired contemporary "daddy" Geoff. I always remember that moment from one of Geoff's BTS where Kathy is walking around with scissors in her hands and Geoff asks her "Is that for my hair?" and the fandom collectively shudders at the thought :D

I'd also love to see another Hamilton song and to either bring in Jose Rosario Jr or Deejay Young. Jose played Hamilton, Deejay played Hamilton, John Laurens, Lafayette, Hercules Mulligan, and Aaron Burr.

I love that you notice how much they have changed and ADORE the fact you confirmed who the arranger was. If you want to hear a gorgeous 4-part harmonized version of a Hamilton song, I highly recommend Anthem Lights’ version of Alexander Hamilton. It’s very different and pretty. Plus I’m always trying to get reactors to listen to them because they are very underrated as a group. They aren’t strictly a capella, but the instruments are minimal.

This is such an awesome song from the play "Hamilton". Still touring after all these years. The actors change every year or so to give other talents their time to shine. Jose Rosario Jr and Deejay Young both were stand-ins on their tours.

A few things.......Deejay Young, when not in Voiceplay, was in a touring company of.......wait for it.........Hamilton. If you check their 'Chipmunk' christmas song, with Deejay Young, when Eli asked for tickets to Hamilton, DeeJay was with the play at that time. Also, if "Snack Geoff'' is to your 'liking' I thnk the reason when he chose to grow his hair out was after their cover with Matthew Darren "no Diggity/Shape of You' mashup......check it out, if you haven't seen it yet. you wlll understand when you see Matthew.....>^^

Geoff has worn his hair at many lengths and even colors (frosted blonde tips!) over the years. Several styles are documented in his Hearing Loss video, where he shares a lot of pics. He had his hair long and was going to get it cut before their wedding, but Kathy talked him into waiting until after the ceremony to go short again. In early 2017 his regular hair stylist became unavailable, VP was touring, and Casa Lucci were getting ready for Baby Lucci ... and so Geoff let it grow out. Fans like it long, and long shows less grey hair than short. When he released Folsom Prison Blues to his Patrons, in the intro he had his hair pulled back and teased that he'd cut it. There was almost a riot in the chat. Not cut; it was a hot day and he'd just finished mowing the lawn, so he had it in a ponytail.

@@shirleykarr560 I imagine there really would be a riot if Geoff cut his hair. I'm all for "wear your hair however you dare" but... well, that's just his LOOK now, and it looks darn good on him. Sounds like Kathy really likes it long too. Don't blame her! Fun fact: Geoff is the reason my husband has long hair. He had his hair grown to mid-back a decade ago but was forced to cut it for a job. His new office allows any hairstyle, but he worried that his long hair made him look feminine. (That's pretty much impossible for a guy who looks like a salty sea captain!) I'm his "hairstylist" and during Covid I just didn't bother to cut his hair since we weren't going anywhere. Then in 2022, his company decided to go back to "all butts in cubicles." I convinced my husband to not cut his hair by deluging him with VoicePlay videos, showing that long hair is manly. I mean, it's just HAWT on some guys!

@@rhov-anion Funny! When Geoff wore it short, fans would often ask him to take the pic of them with VoicePlay after a concert not realizing he was part of the group. Kathy said she wanted it long in the wedding pics so their kids could tease dad about it. I agree, i think she likes it long and will keep him in long hair and sleeveless shirts. Whatever he's doing for his workout routine is definitely working! When I met my boyfriend in '85 his hair was long enough to cover his collar and I loved it. He changed jobs a couple years after we married and started wearing it short. I'm his stylist, since the lock down, but get no say in it. One-inch guard on the clippers and buzz it off. He says it's too hot to wear it long. And I thought I was the one supposed to get hot flashes! Lol!

I believe they knew Deejay already from the theme parks before this. Also, the Angelica Company of Hamilton closed their run in June-2023, so he is no longer with that. Not real sure what he's currently up to, though.

Yeah, Deejay's tour ended in Puerto Rico in June. Some of the original cast went for a benefit show. He hasn't announced what's up next. The gentleman who played Hecules Mulligan on his tour went on to Gander to be in Come From Away and the gentleman who played Lafayette on his tour is now Lafayette on the newly announced international tour of Hamilton.
