You guys really have to watch Eight explained, it's here on youtube. It's freaking super sad, it's about IU's idol friends who committed s**cide. You'll never hear Eight in the same bubbly light again. It's a must watch to see how IU really puts in meanings and symbolism on her music and MV's. She's like Sherlock Holmes genius level on her music and lyricism.

I love IU's relationship with BTS especially with Yoongi and Tae. She's so nice and friendly on top of her vocal talents so it's not surprising that she's the most famous soloist in Korea for years now. If you have the chance you should definitely watch IU perform Eight as the opening song at her Golden Hour concert, it was truly magical. Also, she has confirmed that V will be starring in her MV for the upcoming album she talked about and finished filming before V went into military. Can't wait to check that out once it comes out too!

IU is the reason I stayed listening to K-Pop and through her, I got into BTS and they are my two favorite artists! IU is best at live performances and strongly recommend you to listen to her songs because the lyrics are so personal and relatable! She has many live contents and she also has story of her hardships and MV explained clips. I’m so happy to see IU and BTS being close and supporting each other and hope to see more of them together. There are many UneArmy which means fandom for both IU and BTS. Enjoy getting to know IU who has the “Nation’s Little Sister”. In South Korea, there are o Ly handful of celebrities with nation title which is one of the highest honor and it means the entire nation k ow who you are and loved.

IU is seriously so drop dead gorgeous. She's beautiful and i'm always mesmerized from seeing her. It's clear to see how comfortable and relaxed they are in each other's company. Just hanging out and casually chatting about life with no hesitation or nervousness hanging in the air. I'm very intrigued to hear her upcoming collab with tae! ☺💕 Also her concerts look insanely pretty!!! It's so dreamlike. 😍 Her voice is on another level too. I have so many fav songs from her.

I discovered IU through her acting the drama My Mister, which is her seminal acting drama. It was this drama that brought her to the attention of a famous Japanese director who then cast her as the lead in the movie Broker which debuted at Cannes Film Festival in Feb of 2022. The movie recieved a 12 minute standing ovation and IU was nominated for Best Actress. Few facts about IU to help get you on your IU journey which I hope the 2 of you take. IU started auditioning with agencies when she was 13. She was rejected 20 times before being signed by small company. Most Kpop preformers train for 5 to 10 years before debuting. Many of BTS members trained for 7 to 10 years as did Blackpink. IU trained for 10 months. IU has more number 1 hits in Korea (33) than any other performer or group. Her songs have been on the music charts for ovee 725 weeks. She is the 1st korean female to headline a concert at the Olympic Stadium in Sept of 2022, where tge 90,000 tickets sold out in under 30 minutes with just under 1/2 million waiting in the queue. The New York Times has twice mentioned IU. Once in 2014 after the Kpop convention in LA. the Times wrote that IU was keading the way forward for Kpop. Then 2018 in article about the influence of music on culture, the Times listed the 25 most influential artist. IU was listed 9th on this list. In Jan of last year Rolling Stone Magazine released an update to their list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time. IU became the 1st Korean to make this list. About two years ago IU began having a issue with her left ear. Where the tube from the inner ear connecting to the throat stays open. This makes it very difficult to sing and can become painful. On the 2nd day of her Golden Hour concert at the Olympic stadium it was causing a problem and she worried if she woukd be able to perform. V mentons this during his visit to her show. You will notice that when she sings she may remove the ear piece in her left ear and let it hang. She did not keep it in during her songs with V. Its a sure sign that it is brotheribg her. She talked about it during her Golden Hour concert but I have not hear her say anythibg since. She has a younger brother who kerps is privacy. She has interviewed him once and he wore a mask. He got upset when it was leaked that he was entering his military service. He doesn't want to be hassled by all the guys. IU is also a model. She is a global Ambassador for GUCCI and New Balance as well as Pepsi and a number of Korean brands. IU is listed as the wealthiest kpop star and the 4th wealthiest Celebrity in Korea with an estimated net worth as of late 2022, of over $50 million. She has made 2 commercial movies (Dream and Broker) 7 kdramas including My Mister, Hotel Del Luna, Scarlett Heart, The Producers, Dream High and a new one set to be aired this year. i remember multiple time in radio and talk show, people ask IU if she want to promote globally and said she would do great globally and IU said korean money is enough for her, indicating that she cormfortable where she was, so now that she starting world tour again (hoping she would include europe) i`m glad she realizing that she has many more fans to meet outside of her usual tour country.

Her label is technically Kakao, but when IU got so big Kakao established a branch company called EDAM just for IU's team, IU's manager then became the CEO. Kakao literally was bankrupt and IU saved the whole company, now it's a powerhouse in k-industry, that's why they gave team IU their own company with total freedom. Edam now has 2 artists signed, WOODZ(solo) and Shin SaeKyeong(famous actress). So yeah IU's team from her debut is still with her, that's why on her vlogs and yt content, her staff is always part of the videos (most groups content have several members to show and never show their staff).

Her agency from debut it's called Fave ent.(later changed to Loen)she saved her label Fave ent. from bankruptcy but then in 2015(maybe?) her agency was acquaired by Kakao, Kakao M was already a huge deal in corporation then, but Kakao M was not in Music industry yet, when they acquaired IU's label it's their first entry in music industry, later she was in Kakao M for 1 year or 2, and then EDAM come about, and she got a lot of say in EDAM, IU owns like 22.5% of share in EDAM and her manager from debut(Now CEO of EDAM) has 25% of share, so she's the Queen there. cmiiw❤️🙏

Am I the only one who doesn’t see them like siblings? I see them as great friends with occasional sparks here and there. But if IU and JK were to collab, I think I’d like it to be produced by IU herself. Since JK has been such a great fan of her work, it would be nice and all the more meaningful, if IU would write and create something specifically for her and Jungkook.
