Actually hoshi was being super humble too, back then, the top 3 groups in kpop were known as “EBS” - Exo, BTS, and Seventeen. This “EBS” term was referenced in shows and by other celebs too, and basically most kpop fans in South Korea would be in one of the EBS fandoms. So really, even though seventeen isn’t as popular as BTS, they were still one of the top groups, always making it high in the charts. So this was very sweet to see two major artists be so down to earth.

Kpop idols really like Seventeen. If you hear of idols going to a concert it’s always seventeen 90% of the time or idols interacting with each other majority of the time it’s a seventeen member. People really like them and are comfortable around them. Outside of American artist I’ve only seen Jk go to Seventeen and IU concerts. They really be friends with everyone regardless if the group is old or new and people are drawn to them.

as far as i know, SVT has 13 members but BSS (BooSeokSoon; which are from the names of the 3 members in that subunit) are like 3J so the BSS comeback after 5 years is kinda like 3J getting together to do the butter megan remix dance after 4 years of not having done anything together. Also i’m pretty sure SVT is still under pledis and BTS is under bighit, and both pledis and bighit are under hybe so i assume that’s why they said they’re now in the same company :)

I'm not a carat (seventeen fan) but whenever I would see them on award shows I would always enjoy their songs and they are from the very few kpop groups that I don't get negative vibes at all. Seeing hoshi in suchwita was honestly so wholesome, he was so respectful and cute to watch while he was interacting with yoongi! I hope they manage to stay in contact because it genuinely seemed they enjoyed each other's company.

About hardships, Hoshi came from a humble family. He graduated through scholarships, would wake up everyday at 5am to catch the train to another town just to get to school and then come back to training all night. Now, he's the one granting scholarships and sponsoring the very school that gave him the opportunity to graduate. Afaik his father is scammed by a friend and went bankrupt. They had to sell their house. After earning enough, Hoshi bought that same house coz he can't let go of the great memories they had in that place. He is a precious human being.

Hoshi is such an adorable kid. I already like him after watching HYBE episode of Na PD’s program and like him even more after watching Suchwita. He is humble, polite and kind-hearted. Seventeen such a wholesome group. Their friendship is the most precious things I've ever seen. Since last year they have many moments where they cried together. Yes I love Seventeen and there are too many songs to choose from but one of my comfort songs of theirs is Kidult. If there's ever another group that is worth exploring, it's definitely Seventeen. They are simply amazing. They came from a poor/ broke company and had to self-produce their music and make their own choreo in order to survive and now they're one of the top groups in kpop (some sources say top 3 currently). They're so talented, chaotic and funny and one of the best performers in kpop. They're also the most synchronized boy group (according to a computer analysis done on all the major kpop boy groups) which is insane considering how many members they have. They're just a well rounded group.

I realized that you miss a lot of what’s said in the subtitles, so I think it’s important to pause and read properly especially the parts that are long so you won’t be confused. I'm a carat and I can ensure you just like yoongi, hoshi is also being too humble. Actually Seventeen is pretty much famous group. Even though they are not famous as bts they comes right after bts in sales, charts etc. Also Seventeen is a self producing group who actively participates in producing and choreographing. Also one of the funniest groups I ever came across. It's truly appreciable to see these two groups who came from humble beginning are now on the top of their game and still they are so humble, a valuable lesson to learn. BTS taught me how to love myself, when I felt my existence was not valid. And SEVENTEEN reminded me that I'm also a person who has my own life and deserved to be loved and adored by someone. I think you guys misunderstood when Hoshi said that BSS took a 5 year break. Seventeen was still active as a group but the unit BSS consisting of 3 members of seventeen came back after 5 years.

I am a carat and have been following BTS and SEVENTEEN both since their debuts so watching this episode and how humble Suga and Hoshi were was very nice to watch. Because everyone knows how BTS put the standers high in Kpop but SVT did as well they are the "trendsetters" for a lot of stuff as well in the industry. This episode was really wholesome to watch

Story behind the team name Seventeen Seventeen consists of 13 members, and 13 members are divided into 3 groups, namely- Vocal group, dance group and Hip-Hop group, and altogether they represent 1 team... So 13+3+1 is 17 (Seventeen). The fandom name of Seventeen is Carat...just like Seventeen Carat diamond 💎.. BSS is a subunit of seventeen just like 3J.. In 2020 Hybe owned Pledis entertainment by becoming their major share holder. Seventeen is one of the most deserving groups on the K-pop scene, who really deserve to be the top.Bang pd recognised their potential and decided to invest on them, to help on their global breakthrough.

BSS is a subunit of Seventeen (consisting of 3 members of Seventeen, including Hoshi). Seventeen did not take a 5 year break, the BSS subunit did. P.S. Seventeen has 13 members. Also, Seventeen’s company (Pledis) was one of the first Korean labels that BH bought in order to become HYBE. That’s what they mean when they say they’re now under the same label. For most of their careers BTS was under BH and Seventeen was under Pledis, but now they’re both under HYBE.

I’m (an extreme) baby carat (still at the “getting to know individual members/title tracks” stage) and this episode made me so happy. Hoshi is such a likeable person, he’s unbelievably talented, he loves his members so much (all members of seventeen have a really beautiful bond) and I’m so glad he could share his concerns with Suga, bond with him, gain advice. I hope they actually kept in touch after this! If you guys want to see more, I highly recommend watching Hoshi on Lee Youngji’s Nothing Much Prepared show, especially since they collabed on their comeback. Youngji has been a Carat for many years and her bias is Hoshi, there are some really sweet and deep moments on the show.

SEVENTEEN is argueably the biggest kpop group in Korea right now. (since BTS is in the military and focussing on solo work). They’re at the height of their career, breaking all their own records and even exceding records of other artists. Their new album FML sold 4,66Million albums in pre-orders alone with 4 Million first day sales.

here's the short(?) introduction to Seventeen. They're from agency called pledis ent which is now merged with hybe from 2020 so now they're in the same roof with BTS but the artist management is still pledis ent. Unlike BTS, seventeen have 13 members and divided into 3 units (hip hop unit, vocal unit, and performance unit) and they have another units called BSS (BooSeokSoon) and SVT Leaders units 😅. BSS was debuted in 2018 with 3 members; Boo Seungkwan, DK, and Hoshi and recently making a comeback after 5 years 😁

I've been listening to kpop since 2011, before BTS debuted. I have never seen a show like Suga's show, where idols got to talk with each other so honestly and openly about their struggles as idols or their hopes and dreams. Especially with BTS, I had never seen them be able to talk to a senior idol because of the rivalry between companies and idol groups. I know that BTS has been open about the idols that inspired them and they admire and respect, but they never had the opportunity to talk with them for advice (at least not to my knowledge, and BTS seem to tell us ARMY almost everything) until now. I think BTS are giving a good example of being seasoned and successful idols that can take other younger idols under their wing to give them advice and show them support. But I honestly never saw another senior idol do that for BTS until now.

I'm an army, and just recently discovered seventeen. I'm starting to stan them also as they're really good performers. Same as BTS their personality are all very different but when they get together it just clicks. There just that magic with this group similar to BTS. They're all hardworking, fun and humvle. They produce their own songs as well so I hope you also start to listen and react to them.

Seventeen is a well known and all rounder boy group trained under Pledis and now joining Hybe...they have 13 members and they are not underrated.active every years since debut. They have 3 leaders in the group yesss they are 3! . Have their own producer among the members (woozi)that produces their own songs. Hoshi here is my bias 🥰🥰🥰🥰. He choreographed most of their dances . This group is really well known for their most synchronized stage performances. BOOSEOSOON i.e BSS is seventeen sub unit that made a comeback after 5 years.SVT just finished their world tour .. and now with this come back . Non stop working. They really feed carats well.we are really fat and still greedy for more. 😄😄😄😂thanks Suga for inviting Hoshi... We can see he is so happy here and admired him a lot. Both are really humble... Just to answer some of your questions, Seventeen debuted in 2015 (2 years after BTS) as thirteen members, and they're still the same thirteen members. BSS (BooSeokSoon) is a sub-unit of Seventeen made up of only 3 members (including Hoshi), they're a really funny trio so they've put out some fun, encouraging songs as BSS. The "comeback" they're talking about is a BSS comeback, they hadn't released anything as a trio since 2018 and just came out with some new songs. Also, this video was just my biases from my two favorite kpop groups having a deep conversation and I was melting the whole time, my heart couldn't take it 😭

Yes Seventeen are 13 Members they have 3 Units Hiphop,Dance and Vocal and are 1 Team so 13+3+1 that’s why they are called Seventeen and when it comes to Performance and Choreography and synchronization then the most people in the industry say Seventeen they are insanely synchronized 💖💖💖

As an armycarat, this made me cry happy tears. Carat is the fandom name of SVT (Seventeen), like "diamond carat." Seventeen has 13 members, BSS (or BooSeokSoon) is their special subunit, BooSeokSoon means Boo (Boo Seungkwan), Seok (Lee Seokmin, his stage name is Lee Dokyeom/DK), and Soon (Kwon Soonyoung, stage name is Hoshi). They under Pledis Entertainment which is under HYBE like what Bighit Music is. What made me love them is also because they also produce their own music (w/c are BOPS btw), create their choreographies, their sincerity with their work, and also their genuine love with carats. They are also called "Kings of Synchronization" because all of them are such great dancers and also their choreos are always to beautifully made. About the "5 year break," it's just BSS who went on break because they focused more on SVT's comebacks, as they always have a comeback. 😅 SVT is also called the self produced idols, they are divided into 3 units (Vocal unit, Hiphop unit(rappers), and the performance unit(dancers)). Woozi (vocal unit leader), S.Coups (Hiphop unit and general leader), and of course our Hoshi (performance unit leader.) Woozi produced almost all of their songs, while Hoshi and Dino choreographs their songs. Hoshi is also so adorable, even on this episode, he's known to be crying whenever he's drunk, as he has low alcohol tolerance. hahahaha! My favourite SVT song of them is probably Kidult, it's their b-side, because of the lyricism and the vocals of it. I wish you guys could check out Seventeen too, they are also worth checking out. I started stanning Seventeen as much as how I became an army, I checked them out and loved their whole discography. They also have a variety show (w/c is like Run! BTS) which is Going Seventeen, you know how much chaos BTS has right? Imagine watching 13 members, you'll see how much chaos they create. I really hope you'll check them out. I loooove Seventeen, when BTS and SEVENTEEN became under the same label I was sooo happy bc I was craving for their interactions (I still am tho, but baby steps)!!! JUNGKOOK is a close friend to the 97 line from SEVENTEEN and he even attended one of their latest concerts. Also I'm not much a CARAT as I'm an ARMY, buuut my favorite SVT song right now is LEFT AND RIGHT (because of their concert stage, is way to iconic for me to handle)

Loved this interview. I really really like Seventeen. The music, the choreography, the vocals, the rapping everything is sooo good. O the performances are alsooooo amazing they are so in sync its insane how much efort they put into every performance. And also as far as I saw from watching their reality shows they are like a family they are very humble and just chaotic everyone in their own way:)

Hybe acquired Pledis, that's why Pledis is under Hybe now. BSS is a subunit of Seventeen, BSS is the one who didn't comeback for 5 years, not Seventeen. JK's friends in Seventeen are Mingyu, The8, and DK. the so-called "97 liners". You can see Mingyu in every pics of JK with 97liners btw. JK also mentioned Mingyu in his vlog.
