Kandaka means “Strong woman”, title for queens and queen mothers of the ancient African Kingdom of Kush, also called Nubia and Ethiopia. In memory of the warriors’, regents’ and ruling queen mothers’ legacy, the Sudanese people still honours strong women as Kandakat today.

These are Sudanese rappers. The Sudanese rap is known as 249. All the rappers here are Sudanese, but they reside outside the country. The reason for this is the revolution that took place in Sudan so I'm Sudanese and I'm proud

The last rapper (Flippter) summarises it all at the end saying: " We are the people of Sudan, who ruled the rulers of Sudan". Which is true, as the people of Sudan were able to end a brutal 30 year long dictatorship, protesting peacefully and taking bullets for what they believed in and what they deserve. Freedom, peace and justice. Unfortunately, and as I am writing this today 30 Dec 2021, the military and its militias are still trying to steal people's revolution, so people are out protesting again and getting killed by the military, police and security forces again.. But as I know my people, there is no other way but to give them what they want and what they deserve (freedom, peace and justice). Otherwise, it's revolution for ever. People are the power..the revolution continues✌

I'm from Sudan and there's no full English version... But I can tell you that they were speaking about the Sudanese revolution which started at Dec-2018. They were speaking in English and Arabic to make sure that the entire world will know

Thank you very much guys for taking the time to review the sudan cypher all of the artists who participated in there they"re all well known in sudan. Which is north east africa a country with a great history from the kindom of kush to the nubian kingdom and so on. On some verses ya see dem rapping in a mix of english and arabic to showcase the true talent in which an artist can express himself in more than a language to make it easier to touch people in different places in the world in and out sudan so we have that kind of mix in sudan which we enjoy alot actually.
