Hol up I checked it out for a bit on wiki, Hinami is 17 and Ayato is 18-19 currently. So the age gap is somewhat 2-3 years but its not improbable for them to develop any romantic feelings since their age isn't too far apart. There were couple of time skips in the story though Hinami looks like a 10 year old in part 1 she was actually 14, 16 by TG:re, 17 by TG:re chap 59. Also, you should read the manga its pretty good.

I think that Touka isn't the one for him. Since they're now married, Touka is very abusive towards him. She hits and punches him a lot, and even worse, feeling better after hitting him. And a while back, Touka sort of forced Kaneki to have sexual intercourse with her- but I won't go on for too long. :')

my potential romance candidate for kaneki whether you want to accept it or not are (numbers are random) 1. touka (high probability) 2. hinami (i know its kinda like pseudo siblings relationship but she still a candidate) 3. eto (her high interest in kaneki and her confession??? is a plus) 4. akira (low chance but kaneki is in her flashback sometimes, we never know what happened between her and kaneki/sasaki during his time at CCG) 5. mutsuki (leaving yandere out is dangerous, beware!)

If I am thinking right, there was a scene in the Tokyo Ghoul:re manga where Eto talks about her "god" being a kid with an absurd amount of power, which I think is Kaneki and she also did confess to him during a fight between the two of them.

In my opinion,from me being halfway through the first season of the manga but watched all the anime, I believe that touka and kaneki should be in 'love' with each other. They are both strong yet gentle character and you get to see there progression writhing the seasons. And with the countless fanfic I read it could also make me a tiny bit biased.😂 Whatever the case is I think that Tokyo Ghoul is a great season to watch and read.
