My favorite part of Lost Cause was seeing Billie dancing. Not the dance itself so much as the fact that she was dancing again.

There's an acoustic version of this song she did for We Found New Music that I'm obsessed with. This will probably always be my favorite song of hers.

2:00 This song had many releases, mixes, versions, and live and taped performances. It had an audio only life on soundcloud and spotify. If you add them all up, sure it would be over a billion. Even to this day, it is one of her top played songs.

Love this song. She sings so well in No Time To Die as well. Also if you haven't already checked him out, her brother Finneas has some really good songs.

Think of this..Finneas is just 4 years older than Billie. So he mixed it at like 17. These 2 siblings are beyond amazing

After listening to her new songs, it's wild to listen to Ocean Eyes again and hear how young and soft her voice was back then! She's got a much darker, richer tone now in her newer songs and uses some vocal fry as well... this made me miss her early era of soft, airy vocals

Way to go Kim- This is just so beautiful, I love this song, love seeing Billie dance. She has way more talents than people know. She also did aerial silks for a bit which I love! Another one by her you may appreciate as she dances & is a beautiful, deep song full of emotion is Hostage.

This was the second “official” video of the song, which I think they did in order to honour the original reason they wrote the song in the first place (for her dance teacher). The initial video was only her face the entire time (and so good), which they shot for her fourteenth birthday present. Aka when she sang the actual song she was 13.

My friend went to elementary school with billie. Billie's mom was trying to get her to hang out with more people and when my friend had met her, my friend said that she didn't wanna hang out with billie because she had a boy's name. The End

This wasn't the single that got her known in the UK, it only charted at 72 in the top 100 singles chart, strangely enough a British artist I follow Tom Grennan done a cover of it, that was the first time I heard it, I'm not a lover of her music, to dreary for me, too many miserable female artists around today
@katehakanson3103 жыл бұрын
She wrote several dark songs because that's how she felt at the time. Try out her song "my future", it's got a much more uplifting tone and is absolutely beautiful!

@@katehakanson310 Just listened to it and sorry I have to disagree, the beat picks up three quarters of the way through when I was just going to give up, her lyrics maybe more positive but her voice is just as dreary, I love lyrics, but it is the music that has to get me listening in the first place, I can always turn to poetry if I just want the words, Sorry I did give it a try :(

@@mya.x._ Thank you for recommendations, really like My Boy and Wish You Were Gay, musically much better, reminds me a little of Paolo Nutini's music, heavier on the bass and drums, I still don't understand why she keeps releasing miserable singles, thanks again :)

@@W0rdsandMus1c no worries! :) and like the person said above it was cuz thats how she was feeling @ the time. as shes a lot more happier now, her new album is probably gonna be a bit more uptempo. if u read her rolling stone interview the most recent one) and scroll a bit to where they are talking about the album they discuss the album, how it has a completely new sound to her first album
