It’s been sort of a while since I’ve dropped a gale video, so I wanted to do a video on something I’ve received a lot of questions on, and that is which path you should run on Gale: Suffocate or Specter? Let me know which path you currently think is better, or if there's any other helpful information on the topic that I may not have covered in this video.

Good video. That flowchart is really helpful. Another thing, in the case of crystal-gale builds, specter is better, the burst is insane. (Needs like 10 path talents tho 💀)

was waiting for a vid like this good stuff question though, do you think youll ever make a video on how to effectively use phantom step since im guessing theres more strategy to using it than just spamming your aerial tp

would probably include it in a full specter guide eventually, and yes phantom step is much more complex than just spamming aerial tp for sure if you want to use it to its max potential

so as a galebreather myself i believe that spectar is simply better, as it is more low maintenance in higher skill play but suffocation is insane in pub stomping theres also that fact, also i believe both paths get speed boost for hitting a target if they are under their respective elemental status effect

I see what you mean. Id say regular gale is better with heavy weapons tho, for the reason of the suffocation and dazed debuff giving you a good opportunity to land more Hits with it. Specter only seems to be good with all medium class weapons and maybe rapiers id say

I got a speed build and phantom step is definitely necessary to maintain my speed throughout the fight. I stack lightning cloak with saltchemist speed potions, and phantom step is used when both of those run out.

@@solvian Not a pure pvp build so I have quality of life talents like carnivore and such. Stats are 5 strength 50 fortitude 30 agility 100 intelligence 10 willpower 0 weapon 80 galebreathe 50 thundercall

Spiders is landing an aerial m1 can you use rising flame afterwards like rising wind?

definitely a lot worse since rising flame is much easier to parry after an m1. after you actually landing it's still pretty different too since with rising wind ur supposed to use reverse gale kick and send them to the ground but thats not an optino for rising flame

Not sure if it’s true but the deep builder says there’s no strength req on gale coil anymore.

you need 30 strength for suffocating impact, which is a prerequisite for gale coil

I think it’s alright, you can see me using it a bit in some of the clips in this video pretty effectively but it’s kinda hard to land a lot of the time because of the windup

has higher pressure depending on the mantras u use, gale trap unironically really good on spectar if built with curved although they needa fix that mantra

wouldn’t say must have since I know some other top players who use specter without nullifying clarity for the winded effect. it’s a pretty good synergy tho

gale coil doesent require 30 strength anymore and only reqs 35 gale

for gale coil you need the suffocating impact talent, which requires 30 strength still

Surge is purely damage based, while normal path has lockdown/cc Potential. Id say Go regular Thundercall If you combine it with a different attunement or play heavy
