3 жыл бұрынSorry for the lack of uploads, I have a few non-metal songs im learning at the moment so those should be uploaded in a few weeks. Was practicing this one for months and figured I'd record it when I have the time, which just so happened to be Christmas! Hope everyone had very nice holidays.
There was one run I wasn't very good at playing no matter how much I practiced so I hope that doesn't detract too much from the video lol, I know this isn't the cleanest cover out there but I figured it would be fun to learn as best I can.

Very true but it’s not just non musicians but biased musicians as well who don’t play Technical Death Metal.

@bultronlagore4932 Basically the type of musicians that say Hendrix, Clapton, Gilmour are the best guitarists ever. Those three may be some of the most influential, but they aren't nearly as technically proficient with the instrument as 99% of the guitarists in extreme-metal. The delusion is strong with them.

over the years I've only learned bits in pieces of a lot of Suffocation songs but only one or two have I played as a whole and getting sloppy at it sometimes. their guitarwork is a challenge, its a different plain for me compared to other technical or BDM bands. Cerrito, Hobbs, & Marchais are freaking beasts

Learning this song is like solving a puzzle. It’s just full of unusual and technical riffing. Combined with the fact there’s so many different riffs to learn make this song a challenge

Killer cover man, I used to love playing this tune back in the day. Can't remember the whole song these days, outside bits and pieces. Cheers man, Suffocation is my favorite death metal band of all time, seen them live 19 times since they returned in the early 2ks.

@@cdsmetalhead99 you can tell when cerrito writes the riffs. If you listen to the songs cerrito wrote on the first hate eternal album you can tell. He has a signature sounds that even Hobbs can’t replicate, just like king can’t replicate what Jeff hanneman did In slayer.

@@dionisioramirez6706 I think he has certain signature things but Hobbs’ style is pretty similar. There are four songs on Breeding the Spawn that Hobbs wrote alone and they have a lot of similarities to Cerrito’s songs, even a bit more technical at points. I agree that Cerrito’s songs tended to have more of the catchy riffs.

@@dionisioramirez6706 you might be right that Cerrito wrote most of this song if I had to guess. The weird middle section could be Hobbs. I have a theory that The Invoking and Brood of Hatred are more of Hobbs’ writing since his rhythm parts in those songs are more complicated.

Excellent cover bro! This was my first Suffocation album which I got back in 96. I miss Frank and Mike Smith being in the band but atleast T Hobbs is still in it. Once he is gone Suffocation is no more.

I was hangin w Cerrito in his room when he was writing this song he showed me what he at one point I got to see how the song progressed over time until it was complete I have very good memories of those days

Great Axe you got there, these ones are ideal for thrash and death metal. Great video, Suffocation is one of the best metal bands imo. They are so much more than just "brutal".

Mainly tabs, then fixed them up by ear when necessary :)

Są świetnymi gitarami na taki styl muzyki! nigdy nie miałem żadnych problemów z jakością wykonania itd. Nie wiem jak graja inne gitary Jacksona ale Rhoadsy są bardzo lekkie i szczególnie są łatwe do grania na stająco :)
