4:13 Where did this "I'm in his silsilah (chain)," come from? He's innovating into the Deen and contradicting himself. He is accusing the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم of not having conveyed the Message, accusing the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم of having hid knowledge that only their grave worshipping maulana baatiniyyah cult nonsense knows about. So, where did he get this idea that a Muslim should belong to "a silsilah" come from? They even turned the Name of Allah, Al-Wahhab into a derogatory term. Islam was revealed to the people of Hijaz, and none of them are upon your understanding. Allah سبحانه وتعالى said, وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍ And he (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) withholds not a knowledge of the Unseen (i.e the Revelation from Allah). [At-Takwir 81:24] 'Aishah رضي الله عنها said: زَعَمَ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا كَتَمَ شَيْئًا مِمَّا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَدْ أَعْظَمَ الْفِرْيَةَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ ‏:‏ ‏ And whoever claimed that Muhammad hid anything that Allah revealed to him, then he uttered one of the worst lies against Allah. _Convey (the Message) which has been sent down to you from your Lord. And if you do not, then you have not conveyed His Message._ Allah will protect you from mankind. Verily, Allah guides not the people who disbelieve. [Al-Maa'idah 5:67].... [Jami` at-Tirmidhi » Chapters on Tafsir - كتاب تفسير القرآن عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم » Hadith 3068] Narrated 'Aishah رضي الله عنها: Allah's Messenger ﷺ said: مَنْ أَحْدَثَ فِي أَمْرِنَا هَذَا مَا لَيْسَ فِيهِ فَهُوَ رَدٌّ "Whoever innovates something which is not in harmony with the principles of our religion, that thing is rejected." [Sahih al-Bukhari » Peacemaking - كتاب الصلح » Hadith 2697]

The Shaykh is *still* in his childhood when it comes to criticising sufism as he has not *practised* sufi ways himself. What r the origins of this name Sufi ? Who was Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad Rūmī (R.A) ? Was he a real sufi ? What Usool e Fiqh did he keep in mind when he started following the silsilah of Shams Tabrizi ? How did Shams Tabrizi broke into Rumi's dome of *self-satisfied* Usool e Fiqh ??? The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had predicted that his ummah would be divided into 73 sects, but only one would be saved. So called Salafi, Wahhabbi etc. etc. are all *groups* that regard each other as Mushrik, Kafir etc. They all are going to Hell !!! Only the ones who do not *dis-regard, dis-respect & kill* other muslim thought groups will form the one *chosen* group !

A real Sufi has no concerns about any group but concerns that one to establish connection with God through working on oneself. The problems with many religions group is that they concerned with others group, rather than working on themselves . A real Sufi is not concerned to reform others rather than work and correct oneself.

As a traditionalist sunni, i love the way tasawwuf was presented. That's what many sheikhs, including mine, are doing all over the world, without any innovations. So let us all work together to strengthen our religion and faith and make ourselves better Muslims to achieve piety and closeness to Allah (swt) by following the Shariah, the Sunnah of Prophet (pbuh) under the guidance of true, shariah-adhered mentors.

Dino Rossi I think you honestly avoided my question, I never say tell me about your religion of Sufi’s I said to you where did my beloved prophet (saw) practice you’re new religion of Sufi’s ? Any evidences ? And as far as I’m concerned the ottomans were one of the most hypocritical caliphate we had, they had a royal family that regularly travelled to Paris for parties and drink and drugs hence why allah bought them to their knees and destroyed the ottomans, please humbly go and research Islam and understand there was no such thing as sufi’sm in the time of the sahaaba and the prophet , the fact you want to use the ottomans is hilarious because we all agree sufi’sm was there before the ottomans because the ottomans were sufis themselves and built shrines in jannat-al- baqi that were later removed and destroyed by the saudis but SUFI’SM wasn’t there at the time of the sahaaba and the reason we are not allowed to engage in such things is because sufi’sm leads to innovations and shirk such as pir, grave worship and jinn worship. You are fools who have been fooled by the Shia.

@env0x

@@idrislamont1064 yea people that throw those words around without elaborating usually have no idea of the history of wahabism or sufism. Wahhabism was never even an attack on Sufism originally, in fact the founder of "Wahabi ideology" Ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhab praised Tasawwuf and spoke highly of his sufi brothers... He stated the popular saying: "From among the wonders is to find a Sufi who is a faqih and a scholar who is an ascetic (zahid)". He described Tasawwuf as "the science of the deeds of the heart, which is known as the science of Suluk", and considered it as an important branch of Islamic religious sciences. At the end of his treatise, Al-Hadiyyah al-Suniyyah, Ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhab's son 'Abd Allah speaks positively on the practice of tazkiah (purification of the inner self). 'Abd Allah Ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhab ends his treatise saying: "We do not negate the way of the Sufis and the purification of the inner self from the vices of those sins connected to the heart and the limbs as long as the individual firmly adheres to the rules of Shari'ah and the correct and observed way. However, we will not take it on ourselves to allegorically interpret (ta'wil) his speech and his actions. We only place our reliance on, seek help from, beseech aid from and place our confidence in all our dealings in Allah Most High. He is enough for us, the best trustee, the best mawla and the best helper. May Allah send peace on our master Muhammad, his family and companions."

We know what the hadith says about the horn of shaytaan coming from najd. Wahabis deny miracles, deny philosophy, and deny theology because they are spiritually blind. There is reason why the golden age of Islamic andalusia produced some of best scholars, doctors, scientists of the era. Through divine guiandce for Allah AWJ. Some wahabis also anthropomorphize God, which is extremely haraam. You cannot have an intelligent conversation with Salafi wahabi, they don't have the capacity for it. Everything is bidah.

after listening to Sheikh Hamza's lectures, my brother has become a Sufi by lifestyle, although he vehemently denies it. He believes in holy people being able to have special dreams and a special connection with Allah, reciting certain "purifying" recitations in a certain order, and that poetry and asceticism are the way to go about life...he has given up studying hard, working hard to survive and shuns everyone except emotionally except for fellow Sufis. I really hope Sheikh Hamza can make a more solid statement about sticking to the ahlus sunnah wal jamah and not getting into Sufism and other complicated matters without mastering fiqh, aqeedah and other basics first.

@@user-dr7ru8pm3d When did I say dancing is allowed? Spirituality only teaches you how to love Allah selflessly. Don't believe what people do in the name of sufism. Study sufism and then you'll get to know what actually sufism is. Also, you can not deny the whole concept of sufism by just looking at actions of people. When you preach Islam you tell people that this is Islam full of peace and not what terrorists do in the name Islam. So, study sufism don't just look at people what they do in the name of sufism. I don't quite agree with this. Yes people should be critical of themselves and listen and reflect on others criticisms, but most often, such criticism are not valid anyway. People need to stop this practice of criticising "Sufis". There is no centralized group called "Sufis". People must direct their criticism specifically. When we criticize Wahabis and wahabism, what are we criticising? There is a physical body of Ulema who are based in Saudi arabia, who have certain physical branches in various parts of the world, who are promoting a certain ideology, based on a certain person(s), a certain creed. We can name names of scholars and list defects in their unified propagated creed. But who are you criticizing when you are criticizing "Sufis"? The criticizers of "Sufis" just keep shooting in the dark, asking one group to answer for the practices or shortcomings of another group. Often one group is asked to answer just for some random idiot smoking in the street while reciting zikr, because the critic thinks he's a sufi. One needs to be specific. Are you criticizing the Naqshabandiyya? The Qadiris? The Chistis? The Suhrawardhis? Point and direct your criticism to a physical scholarly sufi body, an organisation. Don't tell tales of arbitrary "Pirs" fooling arbitrary "mureeds" and other strawman arguments. Name names. Identify the people and their followers and take your aim. Don't shoot in the dark. As much as we need to learn to be critical of ourselves, the Ummah must also learn how to direct criticism in a meaningful way.

Well said! If we keep things simple there is less chance of messing up. At the time of the prophet Mohammad (pbuh) there was no sect or label-just Islam and Muslim. As ask. Humza stated a true Sufi would never call himself Sufi. There has been a lot of bida(innovations) over the years-dancing/twirling etc. If we follow the Quran and the Sunna do the prophet did then there is little chance of getting lost. The goal of Islam and all other prophets before was the same-worship one God and go do good! One love!!!!

Attacking suffism is not a solution to modern times it is just because it creates hatred among Muslims. What more important is that addressing the reality in mutual respect manner to one, another. By using smooth and word chice from our hearts. Dear Mohamed you didn't understand the shaykh. Wahhabism is a derogatory term. There's no wahhabi, there's a salafi but not a wahhabi. Wahhabi is a term that was created by the West to create more division within Muslim communities. Apparently they claim it's after Shaykh Muhammad Abdul Wahhab and what he did in Arabia etc.

Even the term Muslim as an identity label is incorrect. Muslim as an identity label was invented by the ummayid/abbasid governments. Hence why the term is never translated and devoid of meaning. Infact the romanised word Muslim is an adjective, whereas The Quranic term مسلم is an active participle of the form 4 verb أسلم. Nowhere in The Quran are people addressed as "ياأيها الذين مسلمين" The Quran addresses us "ياأيها الذين آمنوا" Oh those who Trust. Trust what? Trust The teachings of The Noble Sent Message(الرَّسُول). ‏وَقَالَ ٱلرَّسُولُ يَرَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ هَذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ مَهْجُورًۭا ‎ "The teachings of the noble sent message exclaims, oh my Maintaining Lord, my people have taken this Teaching of The Ancient Establishing Reading(القرءان) as a place of abandonment" Al Furqan indicator(ايات) 30....

I have long been a fan of this man and his intelligent views. I do find westerners are very attracted to sufism because they believe they can still live a western lifestyle. The result can be arrogant and lazy. They dismiss the importance of the sunnah and sharia as unnecessary dogma. The sufi teachers from the east are probably just happy to see westerners embrace any Islam at all. I do think wahabism is a problem, although I respect it, its influence has been negative in many ways. Sufism brings joy and heart into the path that wahabists have become too serious to remember is what Allah wants us to enjoy as beings of love.

No doubt there are many charlatans and fake shuyukh but to generalize and make it sound like every Sufi sheikh is fake is not a fair or even intelligent assessment. The thing is the only people I ever heard saying "it's those wahabis again" every time tasawwuf is criticized has been from people who are not even serious with their tasawwuf, never heard such a thing from any shaykh or senior follower of tasawwuf.

The thing is - in every single religion there is an orthodox sect and a more devotional sect. This has always been historically true and how everyone comes together to harmonise these differences is how a religion strikes an internal balance and not fall into the extremes of either blind dogmatism or degeneration. This is why the tense but delicate balance predicated on mutual respect needs to be cultivated.

How is sharia complex? No one knows what is shariah is about. Everyone believes that beheading people is sharia whereas this is not a sharia it is and this concept is and has being complex over wide decades. This concept of shariah and beheading was given by saudi arab founder bin abdul wahab and he said that killing others is what is Islam but thats not what it is. Islamic laws were changed over period of time and according to world they were settled.. sufism is not complex form of Islam but it is just a simple thing spirituality heal by getting close to the creator in its cofined form.

Today the sufism i have seen is a joke. Its either these liberal hippy types who want to play around with the religion and justify their haraam actions or they are extreme and cultish in behaviour following their shaykh to death to their own detriment. Salam alaykum. Removing worldliness from the heart doesn’t mean removing yourself from the responsibilities you have in it. It means not being attached to the world and this will help us with the challenges we face in life such that when we lose someone or something that is loved, it shouldn’t make us angry or bitter but we faithfully accept it with patience and trust in our hearts for God. It increases us in wisdom because the world is seen for what it is, it is temporary and irregular and no matter how much one has in it, it’ll never give us happiness and true fulfillment. It is when we chase worldly things that vices such as envy, greed, gluttony and others manifest themselves in our heart but if we engage in the world without giving it deep sense of importance to it then our hearts, being free of these vices, will be clean and pure to accept divine guidance and be a home for virtues such as patience, generosity, wisdom, compassion and others. Our intentions will be for the sake of doing what’s right and not for some selfish interest because of ones worldly desire to possess x, y and z.

I believe that sufism is about spirituality aspect of the prophet’s teaching. While those terms were not used during prophet’s time, there are important in this modern day to explain the nuances of excesses (or imbalances) of our efforts to emulate the true teachings of the Prophet saw. 🙏

The wahhabis are not derogatorily called wahhabis, they called themselves this way, and wrote in their early literature that they should be proud to call themselves wahhabis. As for sufis, they are the most self-critical group of all, and I've never heard them say that without wahhabism the world would be a perfect place. They are also VERY well versed in Fiqh.

@@ishtiaqueahmed8450 The hadeeth narrated by Safeenah (radiallaahu anhu), that the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) said: خلافة النبوة ثلاثون سنة ثم يؤتي الله الملك من يشاء The Prophetic khilaafah will last for thirty years. Then Allaah will give the dominion to whomever He wills. Reported by Abu Dawud and al-Haakim. Saheeh al-Jaami' as-Sagheer (no. 3257) declared Saheeh by Imaam al-Albaani (rahimahullaah). And in the Sunan of Abu Dawud, there occurs after this hadeeth, what is said by Sa'eed bin Jamhaan, who narrated from Safeenah: قال سفينة: امسك، خلافة أبي بكر رضي الله عنه سنتين، وعمر رضي الله عنه عشراً، وعثمان رضي الله عنه اثنتي عشر، وعلي ستّاً Safeenah said (to me): Hold on (meaning, listen), the khilaafah of Abu Bakr (radiallaahu anhu) was two years, and [that of] Umar (radiallaahu anhu) was ten years, and [that of] Uthmaan (radiallaahu anhu) twelve years, and [that of] Alee (radiallaahu anhu) six years. Abu Dawud, Kitaab us-Sunnah, Chapter on the Khulafaa, (no. 4647). Also reported by Safeenah, the saying of the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam): الخلافة بعدي في أمتي ثلاثون سنة ثم ملك بعد ذلك The khilaafah after me in my Ummah will last for thirty years. Then there will be kingship after that. Reported in the Musnad Imaam Ahmad, by at-Tirmidhi, Musnad Abi Ya'laa, and Ibn Hibbaan. Saheeh al-Jaami' as-Sagheer (no. 3341) declared Saheeh by Imaam al-Albaani (rahimahullaah). From Hudhayfah that the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) said: The Prophethood will remain amongst you for as long as Allaah wills it to be. Then Allaah will raise it when He wills to raise it. Then there will be the khilaafah upon the Prophetic methodology. And it will last for as long as Allaah wills it to last. Then Allaah will raise it when He wills to raise it. Then there will be biting kingship, and it will remain for as long as Allaah wills it to remain. Then Allaah will raise it when He wills to raise it. Then there will be tyrannical (forceful) kingship and it will remain for as long as Allaah wills it to remain. Then He will raise it when He wills to raise it. Then there will be a khilaafah upon the Prophetic methodology. Then he (the Prophet) was silent. Reported by Ahmad and Abu Dawud. Silsilah as-Saheehah of Imaam al-Albani (1/34 no. 5) and it is Saheeh. And Shaykh al-Albaani (rahimahullaah) commented upon this hadeeth saying: ومن البعيد عندي حمل الحديث على عمر بن العزيز ؛ لأن خلافته كانت قريبة العهد بالخلافة الراشدة ، ولم يكن بعد ملكان : ملك عاض وملك جبرية والله أعلم And it is remote, in my view, to apply this hadeeth to (the khilaafah) of Umar bin Abdil-Azeez, because his khilaafah was close to the rightly-guided khilaafah, and the two types of kingship, the biting kingship and forced, tyrannical kingship had not occurred after (the rightly-guided khilaafah). And Abu Umaamah relates that the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) said: لتنقضن عرى الإسلام عروة عروة فكلما انتقضت عروة تشبث الناس بالتي تليها فأولهن نقضا الحكم و آخرهن الصلاة The handholds of Islaam will be annulled, one by one, and every time a handhold is annulled the people will hold fast to the one that follows it. The first of them to be annulled is the rule (al-hukm), and the last of them is the prayer (as-salaat). Reported by Ahmad in his Musnad, Ibn Hibbaan and al-Haakim. Saheeh al-Jaami' as-Sagheer (no. 5057) of Shaykh al-Albaanee who declared it Saheeh. And Shaykh Abdul-Azeez bin Baz (rahimahullaah) commented, upon the previous hadeeth (as occurs in Majmoo' ul-Fataawa wa Maqaalaat al-Mutanawwi'ah): ومعنى قوله في الحديث: "وأولها نقضاً الحكم" معناه ظاهر وهو: عدم الحكم بشرع الله وهذا هو الواقع اليوم في غالب الدول المنتسبة للإسلام. ومعلوم أن الواجب على الجميع هو الحكم بشريعة الله في كل شيء والحذر من الحكم بالقوانين والأعراف المخالفة للشرع المطهر And the meaning of his saying in the hadeeth: "The first of them to be anulled is the rule (al-hukm)", its meaning is apparent, and it is the absence of ruling by the legislation of Allaah, and this is what is present today in most of the states ascribing to Islaam. And it is known that what is obligatory upon all is to judge by the Sharee'ah of Allaah in all things and to beware of judging by the secular laws, and the customs that oppose the pure legislation. Notes and Benefits In these divinely revealed texts, there is a refutation of the likes of Hizb ut-Tahrir, al-Muhajiroon, and all the group-names they go under, "the Ghurubaa", "the Saved Sect" and so on which they use to deceive the Muslims and to conceal their true identity and ideology. The khilaafah lasted thirty years upon the way of Prophethood and from that time kingship entered the Ummah up until this day of ours, with an honourable mention of the rule of mercy of Mu'aawiyah (radiallaahu anhu), who was the first king, and the rule of Umar bin Abdul-Azeez (rahimahullaah). This indicates the ignorance of these people who chant "1924" thinking that the khilaafah was abolished in 1924. The Ottoman State was a hereditary kingship judging with a mixture of Hanafi law and the "Qanun" law based upon localized customs (urf), much of which were remnants of the Yasaa of Genghis Khan. Further, from 1858 to 1875 there was much provision made for secular law and its practice within the Ottoman state. This indicates the intellectual and academic fraud that underlies the ideology of the likes of Hizb ut-Tahrir, al-Muhajiroon and others who peddle the false doctrine that establishing the khilafah is the greatest obligation of our times, after what they believe, wrongly, was the removal of the khilaafah in 1924. The greatest obligation is to single out Allaah in worship and give obedience to Him and His Messenger. It is when the Muslims fulfil this obligation, that Allaah Himself grants victory and authority to them - this is the divine law in the creation. Most of these groups are not interested in calling the people to this in a specific detailed sense, rather their aims are purely political. Affirmation through the divinely revealed text that Mu'aawiyyah was the first king in Islaam, and that from his time, hereditary kingship was the mode of rule, and that Allaah gives the rule to whomever He pleases. And that after the Prophetic khilaafah a biting type of kingship appeared, one in which Islaam was not applied completely in all areas. It was in this midst that the innovations of the Qadariyyah and the Murji'ah also appeared. Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah explains (Majmoo' 10/354): The kingship of Mu'aawiyah was one of mercy, and when Mu'aawiyah departed - may Allaah's mercy be upon him - and the leadership of Yazeed came, and there occured therein the tribulation of the killing of Husain in Iraq, and the fitnah of the people of Harrah in Madinah, and the siege of Makkah, when Abdullah bin Zubayr made his stand. Then Yazeed passed away and the Ummah split, Ibn az-Zubayr in the Hijaaz, Banu al-Hakam in Shaam, and al-Mukhtaar bin Abee Ubayd seizing power in Iraaq. All of this took place at the end of the period of the Companions, when there only remained the likes of Abdullah ibn 'Abaas, Abdullah ibn Umar, Jaabir ibn 'Abdullah, Abu Saeed al-Khudree and others. The innovations of the Qadariyyah and the Murji'ah then occurred and it was rejected by those Companions who remained, as they had, along with others, refuted the innovations of the Khawaarij and the Raafidah (previously).
