I don't think the traditional Korean instruments featured in the song are being performed live here - I think it's just a regular set-up (drums/base/keyboard/guitars) in the back unless the other instruments are being played live out of sight? Regardless, to perform a song featuring traditional Korean instruments on mainstream western television is amazinggggg

Holy crap Yoongi really performed a Korean rap song featuring traditional Korean strings with Black dancers on American late night with out of this world stage production & STILL managing to feel it feel INTIMATE yet RAW. Jimmy was right this was a grammy worthy performance. *WOo he KILLED IT!*

Every time I watch Haegeum official MV, I come here to watch this performance too. It feels like they are not the same, and I love both of them separately. Suga can perform a single song in many many different ways you don't get tired of.

I mean who would have thought a Korean artist could perform a song, rapping completely in Korean, highlighting a traditional Korean musical instrument on prime time American TV, where fans go wild, eager for more. The Korean government must see this and acknowledge that he ( and the rest of BTS) can do more outside of the military for the country than as 1 soldier inside.

Everyone basically knows that BUT BTS has already stated that they'd do their military duty whenever they were called & since the government was taking too long to make a decision they made it for them. The country take men doing their military duty seriously, if they had been exempted from it somehow there would have been backlash. Perhaps not from everyone but A LOT of netizens

@@randomcandy8209 No the Korean govt dragged their feet on this issue and started tying all these strings onto BTS, saying that they can perform for the government for several years as military service (you can’t make money during military service) and it was clear BTS did not want to be puppets.

Not really. His last concert was on Saturday. Sunday, he attended NBA basketball playoff game at Madison Square Garden since he's a global NBA ambassador. Then, Monday, he appeared on The Tonight Show. Of cause, he had to spend hours to record interview and some other stuffs apart from this performance. After that, he'll be heading to Chicago and his next concert is on Wednesday. So .. yes ... he didn't have a full day to rest. He's doing these activities while doing he's touring - his first solo tour. All members of BTS are quite workaholic. He's the kind of person to make music while touring as well.

For those who don't know, SUGA made this song and 99% of the album all by himself. Lyrics, melodies, production, composition all him. He even made scripts for MVs. He is insanely talented musician, rapper and producer!!

@@maggiemccauslin1084 Agreed with you. They look slower (maybe i count the beat wrong, am not sure?😅), unsynchronized between each other, and not sharp, the krumps look ambiguous. Is it because i already watched the dance practice by Yoongi and his HYBE dance crews that the hired dancers on this show look off. I know nothing about dancing by any means, it's just my observation by comparing the dance practice with this one.

I love his performances so much, he has such as serene and calm speaking voice but when he's on stage it changes so much! He has one of the most enthralling and intriguing stage presences and I love his energy. All the love to Yoongi and D-Day, will forever be thankful for his work!

I feel like Suga is so underrated, and actually so fricken talented. He can do it all! He is a true artist! I wish I didn't see such sadness in his eyes. I just want to give him a big hug. ❤ I don't typically like rap but I will listen to him. There is just something about his music that I love. Such passion, and I can't wait to see his journey unfold. So very proud of him.

It’s a shame how people overlook him. He is such an amazing, talented, and intelligent individual. Same goes for any of the Hyung line. They always overlook RM, Suga, J-hope & Jin. I don’t know why. ARMY should support each of the members equally.

Yoongi got to work with many talented people too and his inspiration, Mr. Sakamoto (may his soul rest in peace). SUGA really did his damn best and put all the blood, sweat and tears into D-Day. And we can see how much each song means to him while Yoongi performs. D-DAY tour has been amazing so far. To me, the chorus of SDL is a genius move, because it really was made for the public to sing along with him.
