You can get them anywhere in America with a green house and heater for over wintering!
@GoldenBoy-et6of
@GoldenBoy-et6of Жыл бұрын
You could skip a heater even and use a 1000w Metal Halide Grow light which would warm the whole green house during the time it's on and boost growth 10 fold and than you'd only need the heater on whenever the lights are off which is easy to do with two cheap timers
@GoldenBoy-et6of

Also all cherimoya species are very similar and theres one species native to America called the paw paw and its considered the only tropical fruit native to America! It grows outdoors perfectly anywhere in america and it prefers lots of shade early in its life so planting near your house on the shaded side is recommended! I'm growing two paw paw trees in southern Oregon!

All we don't live in the tropics so that we could have all kinds of fruit all year round. Even in southern part of Europe we often have minus temperatures in the month of May so, because, at that time most of the fruit trees are in bloom so those low temperatures destroy all our hopes that we will eat those fruits whole that year that we planted and so, for the next year, again, still that new hope exists in our hearts. I ate sugar apples when I was in Bharat and can tell that that is my favorite fruit after mango. It has silk-like texture and very soft, sweet juicy pulp. Gift to some of us (you) from God.

Atis is the name for sugar apple in the Philippines. Cherimoya is a close cousin of sugar apple, which is known for anti-oxidant properties (anti-cancer). Atis is a seasonal fruit, good cash crop. But the poor country of the Philippines does not cultivate or farm them. The fruit found in the markets are just produced from backyard trees. The vast agricultural lands are mostly owned by a few oligarch, which prevent small farmers from using their lands to farm. The only chance for some poor farmers is to farm in the mountains, but they might be tagged as "rebels" and might encounter a firefight with the government soldiers.
