🎬 The “Mind Frame” digital series will dive into the facts, stats, and science behind mental health and psychology topics. The goal is to help normalize discussion around mental health by providing accurate information and giving students specific strategies they can use when they or someone they know is confronting a mental health challenge.
Targeted for a middle school audience and hosted by a teenage peer or near-peer, each episode of “Mind Frame” will begin by establishing basic facts about a mental health issue, such as how common it is, and what its symptoms can look like. It will also include a call to action, encouraging students to do something if they recognize their own symptoms, or witness someone else who needs help. Peers and friends are often the first line of defense in spotting mental health problems, so this series will provide specific strategies a student can use if a peer is struggling.
"Mind Frame” is brought to you by the Broadcast Educational Media Commission (BEMC), the Ohio Department of Education (ODE), Montgomery County Educational Service Center, and Public Media Connect (ThinkTV and CET).
