The problem with adapting those webtoons is the arc lengths. (Among other pacing and adaptation issues) God of Highschool shoved TWO arcs into 12 episodes (the first was too short for 12 episodes), Nobless started 90 chapters into its story and their show is set after their OVA which shoves that huge slow burn first arc into 30 minutes. Tower of God luckily hit the perfect amount of episodes for their first arc. They had the fewest amount of adaptation issues so they got the second season. Edit: For further context, GoH has 600 chapters split into 6 parts. And they cut out ALL the strategic back and forth that elevates the fights and several plot points AND some pretty amazing fights in the 2nd arc to make it fit.

bruh literally they just shouldnt have made the shows imo, like commit to one or two dont do a bunch of 1 seasoners because thanks to the issues you listed they werent received as well as they deserved, even if the reception was good, and this will make it harder/less likely for more seasons to be made, which is a damn shame because Nobless, tog, goh, and lookism and AMAZING god tier webtoons that each deserve mega budget high end animation edit: although imo i think nobless needs good animation the least, to me the greatest part has always been the characters and their interactions, not that the fights werent AMAZING just i feel nobless was more character driven than the others

I didnt get the hype of ToG until I read the Webtoons. Being able to read pass the first season is what really hooked me. The power system is very interesting to me and you will get a lot invested in the story as it continues. Season 1 seems like just the prologue to the actual season 1 of ToG. Also the end of season 1 might get Nick hooked the same way it did for me.

I think the boys should just commit to making some risky choices for this season. My current list of shows to watch are Isekai Shikakku - No Longer Allowed in Another World (stars Osamu Dazai) Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi - The Elusive Samurai Kono Sekai wa Fukanzen Sugiru - Quality Assurance in Another World The Ossan Newbie Adventurer Grendizer U Are several of these probably trash? Absolutely. Will there be fun discussions? You bet!

About the Pokémon War thing from someone who knows Pokémon: 1) It was shown as a flashback in one of the Pokémon movies (i think its the Lucario one, but not sure) 2) In the Pokémon X and Y games, it is said to have happened in the Kalos region in the past 3) Pokémon Legends Z-A (the next game) is set in the Kalos region. The first and also previous Legends game was also set in the past. 4) We only had one trailer so far so we're not sure if it will depict the war or not. We're not even sure if its set in the past. 5) The 2nd Japanese OP of Pokémon Horizons is really good. Its not related to war, but i just want to say that.

Like if someone new who works the same job got paid 5,000 more (usually because of inflation) you’d want to renegotiate your salary. Employers don’t want you doing that, so they purposely perpetuate these rumors that you can’t discuss pay

The thing with tower of god is that it's based on a webtoon and the webtoon is really good and 500 something chapters now (all the chapters being really long too) and i think the world building is very cool and good and the main character being "everyone else solves everything for me" is only for this beginning in season 2 he will be very different

It really is a tower of tests. You need to pass to go up each floor. Reaching the top means reaching the 135th floor and rankers who do it are all pretty strong

Pokemon does have an adult official manga I do believe. In those pokemon battles the Trainers can be targeted and a lot of them die from what I remember

Can I make a recommendation? I think since you guys are not really interested in anything coming out, why not check out some not so big, top of the list animes that have come out. Or do what nicks doing and watch a big anime that's already out, like bleach. How I find some of the anime that I really enjoy is just by looking at whatever thumbnail peaks my interest. For example, I think Nick would enjoy "I was reincarnated as the 7th prince..." and I think Danny would enjoy something like the "arch demons dilemma" they are some solid picks, yeah sure not huge anime but something pretty good to watch and talk about
