This has to be one of the worst Jokers I've ever seen, which sucks because the actor clearly had fun playing the role.

The actor is putting in seriously high amounts of effort for a character that sadly doesn't deserve it. It's a real shame because the voice acting for Joker is admittedly very nice, even if it doesn't feel very "Joker-esque."

In all honesty, I don't hate this Joker. It doesn't hold a candle to the original Arkham Joker, but I still like it. I don't hate his look because it looks like they wanted him to be a bit more hero-esc in his design and a little less angular, villainous, and intimidating like the original Arkham Joker so it fits pretty well. It also looks like they were going for a more silver age type Joker. Kinda like The Joker from Batman: the Brave and the Bold, or The Clown Joker from The Three Jokers comic where he's more of a campy prankster who's only in it for the fun and to cause chaos, Anarchy, and doesn't care much for the plan, while the original Arkham Joker is more like The Comedian Joker of the bronze and modern age of comics. It's also pretty cool that he has a golden age Joker outfit or outfit that The Criminal Joker from The Three Jokers had. The game is subpar at best at least in its current state, but the characters are unique and interesting. Gotta give credit where credit is due.

Not gonna lie? I like this Joker. Hot take, I know, but hear me out. He genuinely has a soul, which makes him a much more intricate character to write and watch. He could have killed everyone here if he wanted to, but he thinks their mission is worth his time, so he plays along. Also, that Green Lantern one-liner? Clean.

People hate this Joker iteration, because they love either Mark Hamill's or Heath Ledger's. What people keep forgetting is there's infinite multiverse out there, this one is a variant of your favorite. Personally i like this iteration. This is the Showman Joker, Theatric Joker, Drama-Queen Joker.

I think it's fair to say that the character is not THAT bad. It's not THAT painful to watch cutscenes with him. And this game would be ok, if it would be in the universe of it's own...BUT IT'S TAKING PLACE IN ARKHAM VERSE. And that's the only problem. The only reason why it's taking place in Arkham verse, is because studio thought they would get more cash because of it.

This is a different joker from a different universe, so we should have expected this

I for the first time play Arkham Knight right now and the Joker is presented in a way that can only be described as legendary in that game, to know that this is the same company is a testament of how much the game developers in this industry has truly Fallen in terms of Talent and ambition. Honestly the sooner we get rid of the sweet baby ink the sooner we can start seeing some improvement in terms of stories, narrative, and Vision returning to these games.
