Rocksteady's newest game Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League doesn't exactly have me super excited to play. The writing seems off, the combat looks generic, and the graphics do not impress.

Riiiightttt I’m surprised no one else is mentioning how our first time seeing the JL in the Arkhamverse…involves us…killing them. I know this was known for awhile to be in the Arkhamverse, but I guess I was holding out hope that we wouldn’t actually be “killing” them, but after what Flash says to Wonder Woman…

Single-player live service game works but it's kinda super expensive to maintain because these games have no pvp or battle royal. A single-player live-service game relies more on the story and lore building and character development. map expansion, new dlc, etc and it's super expensive to develop. Take a look at Genshin Impact. It's a single-player RPG game that has no pvp the develop and publisher (mihoyo) is a privately owned company which means they have no investors, no shareholders breathing down their necks and because of this they have no issue reinvesting a part of their profit back into the game. They constantly release an absurd amount of content for 2 years. It is estimated that they have spent a total of around $500M to support the game you can't do this if you're Rocksteady.

My question for you, you say it doesn’t feel like the Arkham universe but do you read comics? Do you know that Gotham and metropolis is totally different in terms of feel and tone. Metropolis is never shown as being dark and gritty. It’s bright and futuristic.

What sticks out to me are the underwhelming graphics. Next-Gen exclusive and 7 years in the making and it looks like a game from 5 years ago. On the other hand, its well known that videogame graphics plateaued with this console generation, so games in general will barely ever look better than they do today.

I just don’t understand why on earth they even went for a suicide squad game… like did they not even bother to think about the fans, we have never had a flash game or a good superman game or any other members of the JL LIKE WHO WANTED THE SUICIDE SQUAD THE MOVIES ARE ENOUGHHHHHHHH Especially waiting since 2015 for what rocksteady would do next we were really hoping for flash or superman especially after all the Easter eggs throughout the Arkham series just to ditch it and use characters NOBODY CARES ABOUT, why do I want to swing around metropolis as Harley Quin?? I wanted to FLY AROUND LIKE SUPERMAN FOR CHRISTS SAKE

It makes sense that the tone is different because the suicide squad is different from batman. Batman and gotham are like the moodiest characters and city in the whole dc universe

Well... Daredevil and Punisher were made despite Marvel. I am personally worried about the new Daredevil's series, if they don't get new writers. I'm tired of the"quip one liner" type of humor, can't wait for this trend to die off

They have only made 4 games since the ps2 and three of them were the arkham series single player. Idk about the ps2 game but i think we need to give them a chance at a co-op game. Everyone is talking about how they went down hill since arkham but some people forget that multiplayer is different from single player and again this is their first time doing this in quite a number of years if any.

Out of the criticism, I find it weird that people think tone is wrong. Like the Arkham games had Clayface, Mr. Freeze, and Manbat... But Superman being in the Arkhamverse is unbelievable? 🤨

Live service games naturally become lower quality because there is more focus on providing the player with repetitive missions and tasks they can do to grind for XP as opposed to offering unique missions that are memorable because those take more time to develop. All of these games are designed to encourage players to make purchases and keep them coming back for more. Problem here is that it's a AAA but they're treating it like it's free to play.

It may be Rocksteady but, live service games just suck no matter what studio is making them. If studios that are currently making live service games want their games to be successful they need to make a time machine to go way back in time and start the gaas and live service trend.

Sad part is that I see the gameplay being the bones of something good. Rocksteady have made a good shooter in the past (Urban Chaos: Riot Response) but I can absolutely understand if this isn't what people wanted. If it was just a buy and at most grab a season pass I'd pick the game up but I doubt that WB would let the devs go the Halo Infinite route of not having the battle pass expire or pull a Deep Rock Galactic and toss the battle pass stuff in the loot rotation.

Honestly, I do not care if it is rocksteady just because a Company had a good record before doesn’t mean a good record. Last I mean you were mentioning MCU before. Like you said they had good films like endgame but yet now they’re for getting low on quality. The same thing could happen to video game studios. Heck, I’m trading myself, so that I wouldn’t even trust insomniac if they ever make a spider verse game for example, that’s live service. I’m kind of tired people just acting like everything’s perfect

Aw yes, dumbed down Sunset Overdrive gameplay, with the mechanics of Marvel's Avengers and the horrific voice acting and writing of Saints Row. But you can pay for extra costumes. Don't worry it won't affect gameplay so it is ok that we intentionally left already made content out of the game to players who already spent $70, while taking up precious development time to make it.

Captain Boomerang and King Shark don't use guns in the comics. Captain Boomerang uses boomerangs. King shark can use his strength, regen ability, tough skin, shark bite and his ability to call sharks to aid him. The guns are a mcguffin in this game so that you get a little dopamine hit when you get a new shiny one, that's all they're for. Fucking Borderlands games are more creative and interesting that anything that was shown for this game for 15 minutes. That's why people are disappointed by it. It's uncreative garbage. You're gonna eat your words when Rocksteady anounces the cancellation of this game in the same way that a slough of live service game cancellations were anounced about a week ago. Marvels Avengers devs apologized for their live service game after they anounced its cancellation.

So what are you talking about the comic abilities on the top of that didn't even really show the talent trees. And yeah I'm going to agree with you. Borderlands is a much better game when it comes to creativity but at the same time it's a business bro. What are you talking about? They have to make money. It's how it works now because gamers allowed this type of s*** to happen. So I don't know why you over here talking s*** to me
