And I'm sitting here thinking "Oh mah god, floor refections!? That's so cool! They got fountains? That's AWESOME. These graphics rock!" THE GOLDEN AGE OF LUCAHJIN. Anyway, serious message for ocne. Suikoden 2 is what introduced me to your channel, it blew me away as both a game and story. Only possible thanks to your knowledge and commentary of the game. Made me fall in love with both your commentary, and the game itself. I know NOTHING about Suikoden, but if it's anything NEAR as good as Suikoden 2, I'll take it gladly. This is gonna be one series I'll watch the second it comes out. Keep on being you, ya dork.

Also; I'm so glad you're playing games that -you- want to play. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing you play other things, but whenever it's a game you feel so strongly and passionate about (this, Suikoden 2, etc), it's really exciting! It holds a special place in your heart, and there's just something extra there, in the commentary, and you can just.. tell in your voice. I've been looking forward to this since your Suikoden 2 LP, like many of us have, as well!

I absolutely love the watercolor portraits in this game. They give the game so much character. They show the game's age, but I think that that it also shows the charm of the game.

Suikoden and Phoenix Wright? Is this heaven? I can't express how much I wanted this!!!

This is the first game that legit made me cry. No joke. I won't spoil it for anyone but this game can tug on those heart strings real hard.

If only Konami still cared about Suikoden, maybe Suikoden 1 could one day get the much more polished English localization it deserves (2's script could've used a little more polish too, but it's way more coherent, on the whole). Suikoden is such a dope game, and the core story is really good, but man, at times it definitely feels like Konami gave some poor intern like a week to translate the whole thing into English.

Man, I was BORN in 1995, so it's really awesome to have some insight into a game I'd probably never have the sense to give a try! So cool how you said "I skipped a lot of university classes to play this, I loved RPGs" seeing as I had an identical experience with Persona 5. RPGs are just as great 22 years later, eh?

I remember when I first played Suikoden I two years ago, I had just finished watching Avatar the Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra for the first time (I believe Korra had ended a few months before). So with that in mind, I named my character "Tenzin", since I really liked Tenzin in Korra, and I suppose Tenzin is part of the religious name of the current Dalai Lama (which may have been where the name in Korra came from), so I figured it would be a nice name for someone who rises to become a leader and a unifier in this game.

Thanks to your Suikoden 2 Lp Lucah, I played both Suikoden 1 and 4(and Tactics if that means much). I beat 4, but I only got half way through 1 before my save was corrupted(was playing on a ps1 emulator). Both are pretty fun(although, enjoyment of 4 may vary for some. I had fun at least)!

What I remember hearing is that this game was a practice run for the guy in Japan who wanted to make 2 but knew he needed experience first, so he made this one to learn from and make 2 as good as he could.
