Suisei's brand of shameless plug advertising is effective in large part because she does it in a way that's funny (e.g. trolling people on a new outfit reveal to plug a new album/live). Because of that, she's able to build a positive association with the product she's promoting which in turn makes people more likely to want to check it out. A lot of youtube personalities fail at this so their promotional efforts come off as overbearing and annoying which has the opposite effect.

I agree, i can see Suisei advertising a LOT. Yet it's never really annoying, it's often kinda funny or you go like "Really she's advertising NOW lmao" like so surprise you're not even annoyed. Often other streamer build it like you can smell they will make an advertisement and they do it like a morning show that sell things on TV. Those shows no one watch.

honestly those who can advertise well are usually people who can either be spontaneous about it (which where Suisei is), keeping them short in general (many failed to do this, tho prob bcs it is asked by the product maker and less bcs of the one actually advertising), or in rarer cases, someone that uses their own story and assets to build the ads (russianbadger is my example of this and his way, to this day, is still how i want my ads to be presented, even more than the other 2 which have way less chance to be overbearing, but this road is definitely not for everyone) in any case tho, it does take talent, and not everyone has that talent, just like everything else. and we will always have overbearing and unwatchable ads, bcs it doesnt get one kind of people for sure, but it still can get other kinds of people no matter what

I think suisei using her original songs as BGM is a good advertisement too since i saw some people asking her BGM song in clipping video... Btw, i just noticed... suisei's last new costume was already more than 1 year ago?! Time sure flies fast...

i would say the best advertisement is the unexpected one, but then i remember there's youtube ads, so yeah, no i love suichan's advertisement especially when she's in the collab.. she's somewhere she shouldnt advertise and she's doing it without consent of everyone.. i especially love it when other members gets surprise when she's advertising out of nowhere

Yeah. To me who's been on KZfaq an unhealthy amount of time, I found it weird that holo members rarely ask people to subscribe and like their videos. It was weird, I gotta say lol.

I think the whole idea is they are always appealing to people as "Idols" so asking the people who are their fans to subscribe feels off.

@@mjc7745 Well then that's an idea I think they should leave behind from their origins because KZfaq is a different environment. Heck, only a few of them know how to advertise their own merch. That said, I don't really mind it since it creates those awkward moments like Kronii's where her own chat shilled for her lmao.
