Suleiman Blames Hurrem for His Son's Death " DID YOU SLANDERED MY SON? "
Magnificent Century Watch Episode 129 👉 • Magnificent Century Ep...
Hürrem gets prepared for a bloody play!
As the time passing makes Suleiman feel more lonely, Hürrem gets in search of revenge with her sharpened rage. In the meantime, Rüstem has become the Grand Vizier thanks to the power he gets from Hürrem and Mihrimah and the politics he played. He gets prepared for a bloody play with Hürrem.
High winds between Selim and Bayezid...
The princes gather in the capital for Cihangir's sword girding ceremony. High winds bluster among the brothers who come together after years, especially between Selim and Bayezid. The fact that Mustafa has been welcomed effusively by the janissaries resonates with the palace. Rüstem doesn't hesitate to use this against the prince.
Meanwhile, a Venetian odalisque who has been presented as a gift to the palace draws attention with her beauty. This woman will change not only hers but also the destiny of the royal family.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Agreed. At the end of the day she can't make such a decision. No matter what she is always loyal to Suleiman. She even said and proven before that not even one of her sons can get to the throne while Suleiman is breathing. Loved her speech to Shah earlier, that she is his breath as long as she breathes that means he is alive and she will always be love and be loyal to him first.

It’s true he didn’t believe the letter hurrem made from Mustafa, but he did believe the coup mustafas army was planning, which is the very reason a prince doesn’t have his own army while the sultan is alive, mustafa knew this but still allowed them to stay with him and even payed them for their loyalty instead of sending them to his father as he was supposed to, that wasn’t hurrems fault or plan, and the fact that mustafa didn’t understand that what he was doing looked wrong was a very big fault in his character

There’s definitely nothing else to it, like the Law of Fratricide which would’ve meant Mustafa would’ve killed Selim, Changir and Bayezid once he ascended the throne, giving Hurrem a reason to want Mustafas Death, or the Fact Mustafa literally marched on the Capital with an Army and managed to get to the palace’s entrance, or the father of the Sultan, Selim the 1st. @@emvittKasem and Ibrahim? They were not even capable to be the sultan of the empire. Putting them in the line for the throne is both toxic for the empire, and a stupid decision in itself. Bayezid deserved to be the sultan as much as Murad. But Bayezid's time would have come, if he directly rebelled, or waited for his chance to come. Murad IV was a great sultan, his strength, his intelligence, his wit, everything was just absolutely excellent. He was a hot blood, which might have made him to take some not nice decisions. But he was one of the best sultans of the ottomans.

He was also insecure about his position on the Throne as there was a family history of his own father Sultan Selim 1 seizing power and dethroning Suleiman's own Grandfather Bayezid II . With Shehzade Mustafa being so popular with the Jannissaries and the local population , Sultan Suleiman was paranoid that history would repeat itself and Mustafa would do the same to him by seizing power and dethroning him just as his own father Selim 1 had done to his own father Bayezid II. Suleiman as a prince feared his own father Selim 1 and saw a lot of his father's ambition in his own son Mustafa!

To be fair, it’s neither Hurrem's not Mahidevran's fault. Both of them were trying to save their children. But who are we to judge? If we lived in that era, who knows, may be we would have done what's necessary too. Suleiman saw Mustafa as a threat to Hurrem's children and he thought killing one son will save the lives of others. So he didn't care much to prove his innocence. Ironically in the end Hurrem's children turned against each others anyways 🤷‍♀️ and that incompetent Selim became sultan. I mean it’s game of thrones, you either kill or get killed. 🤷‍♀️

Declare it illegal, pay off holy men to denounce it as an act against god, whatever needed to be done, and reinforce that for decades. Mustafa and Hurrem's children already loved each other, perfect place to start. Banish Mahi and remove her influence. End her if need be. I love her response for many reasons. One, her reference to a shadow says she cannot move unless he moves. She would be squashed if he wanted it, ever. Mustafa’s death wasn’t just because of Hurrems slander. It was because Suleiman was threatened by him. Two, Suleiman loved HER as much as he loved power, and she had 5 children by him. Their empire however loved Mustafa. And whether he would have ordered the death or his brothers or not when he took the throne, it would ultimately still cause chaos and division amongst the empires peopleand likely result in more deaths. Suleiman knew what had to be done if he chose Hurrem. Hurrem was aware her children’s lives depended on her alliance with Suleiman. Thirdly, to say no one is sinless under this roof was so true. Hurrem was a powerful woman because she was ruthless to everyone but her own family. She was wrong on so many levels, but what she said was the truth. She would always want what he wants, which was to be with him and their children to stay alive.

It’s sad that Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent and his legal wife Hurrems Sultans love story played out to be a tragedy. I would’ve love to see more unity, trust and devotion for the two but brutality sells.

If talking about the show, killing Mustafa didn’t spare hurrem's children of a bad future. Selim plotted and killed his own brother. The kids also. I never saw Selim fit as a Sultan. Bayezid and Mustafa were much better hence people and soldiers loved them. About Suleyman he was an insecure person in the show. If my sons had been this popular and good I would be happy for bright future

@@samiasultana44 Killing Mustafa was not about safeguarding Hurrem’s children. Suleiman was protecting himself from his son. As far as the remaining deaths, that was always destined since only one son can remain so no threat exists to the reigning Sultan. I am not convinced Selim was the best one to inherit the throne but the way they played it out on the tv show, he was the only one that Suleiman felt he could trust. Keep in mind that we as the audience were privy to information that Suleiman did not have. I think Bayezid would have made a decent ruler but that is not how history records it. In all honesty, the best man typically is not the ruler because the things needed to secure the throne are typically not honorable or just.

I know that the series is based more on hurrem and wants us to side with her. But the comment section on this channel is extremely biased to her it's ridiculous . Apparently she is allowed to do all these crimes against others, while others are criticized for it . At least she loved her children I will give her that better than kosem. I still can't forgive her involvement with Ibrahim and mostafa death. They had flaws but I do believe they were loyal and cared for the sultan. Ultimately it was suliemans fault for making that choice.

I believe that if there a must she would kill own son for keep sulaeman on the throne if one of them had nerve to rebel, as kosem she just doing everything to keep power and control for herself. Not for state nor dinasty either. I still doesn't get it with sulaeman act. She ask hurrem about his action? I admit maybe hurrem involved in this as like her involved ibrahim pasa death. But that really small portion. Sulaeman still hold the biggest part in that. He's regent, he's the one who decided to believe or not about mustafa betrayal. Simply like his decision to take mustafa life out or not

@@izas5768 the fact that mehmed died and bayezid was mad at one point does not invalidate or in anyway counterpoints my statememt that they were better. Mustafa was executed because he was a naive, blind idiot. Soo how about that? He wasn't smart or he would have played this essentially game of his life much smarted. He trusted and relied on people who were dumb and didn't recognize how stupid it was to go face to face with a much powerful player like Hurrem, who literally had the sultan's ear at her back and call. But I blame his mother. She was the biggest idiot and got him killed in the end. It is said that an ottoman prince and his path on the throne and ability to keep that throne i dependant on his mother's abblilities from the background. Hurrem was capable and smart and when she died she was smart enough to raise a daughter like Mihrimah who was able to take the role of Valide sultan of Selim. That was smart. Her daughter in law Nurbanu followed that example and soo did the Haseki sultanas thereafter. Hurrem literally started the era of sultanas. Mahidevran? Was an idiot who thought only of herself and her feelings instead of the safety and prosperity of her only son. She had it better from the beggining...she literally the firstborn son who was somewhat smart, capable and caring in the begginig, and better yet he was popular. But her stupid mistakes and jealousy of Hurrem got he disliked by the sultan and her son literally banished to a far off province. Please don't kid yourself. This is about the mothers and Hurrem was far far far superior.
