Şehzade Süleyman, en yakın adamı Pargalı İbrahim ile birlikte çıktığı bir avda alır kötü haberi. Babası Yavuz Sultan Selim Han vefat etmiştir. Şehzade Süleyman hiç beklemeden, İstanbul’a doğru yola çıkar. Şehzade Süleyman hızla payitahta ulaşır. Hiç beklemeden cülus törenine katılır. Bir günde hayatı değişmiş. Sultan Süleyman olarak padişahlık hayatına başlamıştır.
Bu sırada, Karadeniz üzerinden içi köle yüklü bir kadırga, İstanbul’a doğru gelmektedir. Kölelerden en ateşli olanı ise, kaderini değiştirecek olan yolculuğa çıktığının henüz farkında değildir. Geri dönmek için çaresiz bir şekilde isyan etmektedir.
Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. either she would have been dead. Sultan suleiman said in the beginning whoever was responsible for hurrem's kidnapping will pay her life. and her plan got exposed , so her brother was going to kill her anyway. so she decided to commit suicide. besides she knew gulfem, shah sultan or beyhan will take care of her childrens

Shah for once is fair to Hurrem. They can be powerful and wealthy women, but sultanas greatest value to the empire is that they can be wives in political marriages.

Actually women in older times were married off without asking for their opinion. And people only thought that their sadness was because of parting away from their families or they are too shy to show it and some even said like they are just nervous

It's quite different two cases ..hatice was blinded by pain and was miserble , hurrem was blinded by authority and was happy when her daughter was suffering besides hurrem tried to commit suicide once ☺

Hurrem isn’t stupid, she knows that marrying mihrimah to rustem is the best choice for mihrimah. Actually, this marriage thing was planned by the aunts who think they’re white as sheets, to make mihrimah refuse strongly rustem and then make her marry their servants who is loyal to them. Now, which choice is better ? Marrying someone hypocritical, acting against you and your family’s benefit or someone who loves you unconditionally, who would die for you and is extremely loyal to you and your mother and family, who have for goal your happiness? The second right ? And actually, I don’t like the way the writer wrote rustem and mihrimah relationship, I wonder how you can end up hating someone who is trying his best to shower you with love, who respect you and cares for you in every manner, who brings you tranquility and stability in your home. In the end you can’t help fall in love, if that were not the case, how did marriage before work. You can’t really blame Hurrem here…

In kosem sultan series, we see prince sultan Mustafa in an episode telling Murad: a ruler is divided in two parts, one part is the sultan nature and the other is the family nature. The two can't be in balance, one always will overshadow the other. Suleiman chose the sultan part, so did Murad and most sultans.

Rustem cares There were princesses sold for marriage to enemy nations as peace treaty, they were basically hostages if a war ever broke out again between the two nations...and sometimes in ancient times parents didn't care if the daughters suffered abuse in marriage as long as they got the political benefits or were powerless to have a say in what a husband does to his wife Yeah Mihirimah is the few lucky forced Brides

Henna paste. Old days they didn't have a henna cone so they applied it this way in the shape of circle by a spoon or something similar. That's why even though there are many designs that can be done by a henna cone now some people still go for a circle shape of henna in the centre of the palm for the sake of tradition.
