Our church lives by faith. Our pastor's' been serving God for almost 40 years now and just now, they were given a sturdy parsonage after such a long time of serving as an answered prayer from God. Our pastors suffered a lot of beatings just for the Lord and He always rewards them back for their faith in Him. Not all pastors have bad intentions :) Be careful especially when you start generalizing. God bless you man :)

Getting PAID as a Minister is what I never did for over 20 years - not one dime! In fact I worked two full time jobs - on to earn a living and the ministry to serve others and in fact my ministry I Paid tithes (10% of my income to the church). But I went DEEP into the rabbit hole and became a theologian and studied so very deeply and came to realize, by asking better questions - like "Why does God answer prayers in every religion?" because I have seen miracle in all of them.

Loved this! In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints every member of the congregation is asked to contribute time in whatever way they can to help the congregation function. No one gets paid - not the Bishop, not the St. President, not the pianist. We all work regular jobs and volunteer our time to help others and ourselves. The money we gives as a fast offering is given back to members of our congregation in times of need or hunger.
