She tried but I find that almost all of her children have been ungrateful and not grateful except Mehmet and Gevherhan. Osman was too influenced, Mourad a little too harsh, Atik let's not talk about it too egocentric and Bayezid too stupid not to understand that his biological mother is a manipulator. Yes Kosem is not innocent but she did everything to stop the fratricide and lost many people to save the Dynasty of Ahmed and the Ottoman

Atike still hasn't understood that Kosem didn't choose to be alone. Atike does not know what choice at the time kosem made and had to sacrifice and see everyone she loves die saving her husband Ahmed who was poisoned by his aunt in order to save the Dynasty. The witch had told Kosem that there was a price to pay and Kosem had to accept that. Kosem never told anyone, not even Ahmed, because he would never accept it. Seems to me she only told Osman when he killed Metmed. Already, she did not want her great love Ahmed to die and for her to save everyone. And I think that's why Kosem is alone at the end because it was her destiny. His children never understood that Kosem sacrificed his happiness for the dynasty. Maid I confess that I prefer Anastania and Kosem, those who were there before Ahmed's death. This Kosem eqt darker because of the losses she saw

His anger and how it controls his to make rash choices, and how Murad needs to get it under control or he could cause more bad things to happen. I think she pointed out his anger to him because she saw herself in him. She had so much anger after she continued to lose the people she loved, but she was able to control it, unlike Murad

You cannot even be completely thankful to her till your death for her 1 second pain of pregnancy. If a mother wants a throne give her the throne then if you give her the whole world after conquest you didn't give her 100% right. Nothing important than her. Allah will never accept your conquest, pray anything if you give pain to your mother. A mother's importance is more than a father. That's why in Islam give more respect to women.

Sorry, don't see how? According to the show, Kosem had become a murderer and a traitor long before this. Kosem did everything she could to isolate and weaken Murad. She stole his power, cast shade on Murad during his enthronement, hid critical information from him, repeatedly ignored his orders, plotted with the chief physician to kill Murad, murdered Murad's beloved wife (and the mother of his two remaining sons) as well as his best friend (Sihlaterer - who was also Atike's husband) and supported, coddled and protected traitors (Ayse and Sanavber) in the palace. Sultan Ahmed would certainly not have allowed Kosem to disrespect his power, the way she disrespects Murad's power @@user-mk3zm6fe4s

So much in this show is fiction for more drama. The Ottomans killed brothers and here and there sons, sons and brothers in law, but killing the mother would be a horrible crime. Bannish, Old palace, even prison, yes. This szene makes Murad really looking crazy.

I find it funny that people praise Kosem and vilify Hurrem. Kosem kept her children (including the other concubine children since she raised them all) weak in order to maintain control. Nurbanu and Safiye etc did similar things. Hurrem, while she enjoyed a status no other woman had, she did all in her power to protect the empire (of which she felt her children better suited to continue Suleiman legacy) and protect her blood overall. She knew she had a better chance of no blood being spilled if her child ascended than if Mustafa did. Hurrem is called a witch for enchanting Suleiman, but at least she did good and limited the bad she did. Those following her never hesitated to spill he blood of innocents and family

Murad knew her motive and was betrayed by his own mother, Ibrahim too was killed for similar reason. She wasn't as pure as you think, all the royal blood shed she stained her hands with, was only to continue her era and fill her private treasury and barely for the empires welfare.
