Sultan Saleem 1 / Selim I / Saleem Awal was the 9th Ruler of Ottoman Empire (Saltanat e Usmania). Sutlan Saleem 1 was very strict ruler. His tenure was only 8 years but in this period he not only fought against Safavid empire but also against Mumluk empire and doubled the Ottoman Empire in his era. Sultan Selim I also became the first caliph of Ottoman Empire
