He was so drowned in power and pride that he forgot about the welfare of people. But Sultan Suleiman kept a cool mind and was absolutely just. Even he was hurt but kept quite for his people. He was also God-fearing.

All her life she only used Suleiman for her power and status hunger. She only wanted to be a valide Sultan. No matter which of her sons took the throne. She didn't even care for her children nor about their upbringing, she just bore princes to the Sultan. All her life was spent by flaunting Suleiman's love and Haseki status. If she had really loved Suleiman, she would have found a way, a law to eliminate the brothers killing law. She knew it if one of her sons took the throne her other children would be executed. But she didn't take a step in this regard. She murdered Prince Mustafa a Gem 💎. She influenced Suleiman so much that he murdered Prince Mustafa but couldn't persuade him to eliminate the law. Pathetic.And Selim II the drunken and womaniser sat on the throne and destroyed Ottomans whole heartedly. A legendary love which price for paid by millions of people and are still paying since the Ottoman Empire is abolished.

I don't feel bad for Mahidevran . Maybe a little bit but not much. Hurrem suffered so much. Her family was killed, she was taken from her home then treated like shit. Even when she wanted to get along with everyone everybody just betrayed her. I remember being so pissed when Hurrem was literally so nice to Shehzadi Hatice , even saved her baby but Hatice still treated her like shit. In the end she had to do what she had to do to survive in that hellhole. One thing about Hurrem was that she was 100% LOYAL to Suleiman. Even Walida Sultan seemed to acknowledge that in the end. (I'm talking about the series) Edit: guys I'm not talking about Mustafa idk why some of you started talking about him. Mahi for me, is not a victim. She started all that herself and Hurrem tried befriending everyone at the palace in the beginning. She was even nice and loving towards little Mustafa. Idk if we all watched the same series at this point 😩

I agree 100%. It's not a popular opinion but I think the same. Mahidevran was smarter than Hurrem. She wasn't cruel, that's why she lost everything in the end. But she was right in the end, too. God will see everything. Hurrem lost her sons and left an alcoholic to rule the country. The biggest mistake sultan has ever made is to marry the snake and kill Mustafa.
