Suddenly - as a 37 year old father with a wife and house and bills and day to day stresses of life. I put on my headphone and shut my eyes for a hour . I was transported to being a 14 year old listening to them in my old bedroom. I cried I laughed I smiled at all the memories that came flooding back. I seen these several times in the 2000s with friends I don't speak to anymore in places I don't go anymore and I really do appreciate and value what music brings to everyone's life - look out for each other and be kind

No, incorrect. This statement right here is so indicative of the problems with bands these days. Before I say anymore let me say; I'm a fan, and I enjoyed watching this performance, they're a great band. Now for the facts; the vocals were autotuned, the drums had triggers and there was a heavy bit of post-production work done to the mix after. So no, this is definitely NOT how an actual live band should or does sound.

Hi, can you elaborate? Did they say they will stop in the near future? EDIT: Found the sources. Last double album coming and disband afterwards. 😱
@musictrajectory
@musictrajectory 9 ай бұрын
My bet is that they disband for a few years - singer likely does a solo project or something. And then they reunite. So many bands do this. Anberlin and The Killers are recent ones that come to mind.
@jonathanbernardestavares
@jonathanbernardestavares 9 ай бұрын
I really hope they do that... It would be refreshing for them to do some new cool side-projects for the next decade or so, and then reuniting to make the older fans happy and release more "mature" Sum 41 albums... Let's see what happens!

Derek's voice sounds amazing!!! I'm so sad their new album is going to be their last. They had such a big impact on my life.
