This is one of the reasons I love this channel and I admire LFG. Rackley doesn't just do one thing he enjoys it all. Trying to be a complete outdoorsman, crafting and building, catch/kill and cooks, all the family stuff. Everytime I watch I learn something.

40 yrs ago (yes 40) my dad and I would fish in small ponds in McRae, Ga and catch Bluegill. We learned the hard way not to hang the panfish off the back of the boat. A loggerhead turtle made a meal of of several of our best catches. Actually had two or three huge turtles just swimming behind the boat following right behind us before we knew what happened. Pulled up a stringer full of Bluegill heads. Oh by the way - don't let one bite you. They won't let go until it thunders... or at least that's what my dad said. Thanks for the memory LFG.

That video of you catching that 9lb bass on a jug line, is still my favorite. You an Rob was having a great day on the river. Full of fun an laughs. Then the jug line lol. When I was a kid my best friend and I had the responsibility of catching bluegill to bait the trot line. What I learned is tiny profile hooks and yellow. A #4 or #6 with a kernel of canned corn ........ 🤠

Ever think of trying a sabiki rig when the gills and sunfish are ganged up real thick? Might be fun catching them 3 or 4 at a time😁 A fella might have to fish some fresh water and try that out.🤷‍♂️

Used to use ice fishing "grub" plastics for panfishing here in WI Islington in the summer time. Maybe a 1/2" long and a 1/16" in diameter. Worked great, tougher than live bait grubs! If using live baits red worms are good for gills and crappie bank fishing.

Yesterday I caught 38 panfish/bluegill and 1 bass. They were all catch and release. Bluegill are my favorite to catch cause they fight really hard. Nothing like the fish bending the pole
