I love Aoi’s energy. She’s like a horny golden retriever. She was surprisingly well behaved when she met her future MIL err Makoto’s mom lol. That part when Ryuji was warning about “perverts” showing up at the pool and Aoi was all “you called?” was pretty funny. Aoi AND Ryuji can’t handle a bare chested Makoto I guess. That shopping trip was fun. Ryuji was really struggling over how cute Makoto was. It’s nice that Makoto has good friends. It just sucks he can’t be himself at home.

Did you find the episode rushed? They are going quite fast which Is mostly a very good take. However, they skipped a couple of panels showing Makoto seeing his own reflection, looking at his male body and reflecting on whether Aoi would end up wanting a "normal" relationship instead. I Hope this show doesnt tone down the themes of self doubt and all the nice angst i like so much. The bitterness makes the sweet moments sweeter.

There might have been one or two scenes that felt a little out of place, but I wouldn't say rushed, no. I'm okay with a faster pace overall! Shame on the skipped content though. That's the kinda stuff I want to see animated!

And so, i caught up to these two animes, let's go!!!! I absolutely both love this anime and hate it at the same time because....well, i guess by now i can probably say it and be fine with it....i am transgender myself, so i totally understand Makoto's struggle...when your family doesn't support you is the worst! I hate that mother and, to me, it doesn't matter what happens, she is irredeemable. Gosh, that attitude was disgusting! Anyways, now i am caught up so i can watch your future reactions...nice! X3
