What changed in me? How could I seek revenge in one moment but choose to offer mercy and forgiveness in the next? It wasn't just me becoming a better person-it was Christ transforming me from the inside out. This is what Jesus does: He changes our lives, replacing the old with the new.
But how does this transformation happen? That's what I want to unpack this morning from Colossians 2 & 3. This passage of the Bible answers a crucial question: What has Christ done for you and me, and what does that mean for us?
We can't separate knowing who Jesus is from responding to what He has done. Believing in Him means being transformed to be like Him, as Jesus changes everything-in this life and the life to come. As Paul said, "To live is Christ, and to die is gain!"
So, what has Jesus done to make life transformation possible and to be worthy of surrendering our lives to Him?
