Yes keep George and Martha!!! 😂 Robert McMloskey too! I would say if you don’t love it, don’t keep it. But if you could imagine yourself loving to read it to your grandkids, then keep it for sure ❤️.

One of the things that I do with all the wonderful books we read as part of our homeschool is when we are finished I drop them off into a little free library nearby. I could sell them, but often its never a full collection, in general I'm just not fussed about the money, and the time it takes to sell them is too much effort for me to justify. I figure, we got our money's worth and I'm ok just passing it along and the little free library is next to my post office so I am there regularly anyway.

I did that history lapbook with my sister years ago and it was a lot of fun. It is definitely a lot of meticulous work but it's cool, and we've actually gotten it out multiple times over the years when we have covered some of the same content again.

I’m excited!! We’re going into our 4th year homeschooling our two boys and I’m feeling confident. We have two unused ones and I have no clue what to do with them😂!

Love your videos always!! Another idea for rich discussion if you get to a point in which you can’t preread everyone’s books is to check out the authors websites for resources. Last year my eldest read a lot of the readers your eldest is reading this year and I found so many fun project ideas and discussion guides via the authors website. I’d love to know more about combining non- twin siblings for a skill based level. My youngest two will be doing math together this year and I’m feeling quite of bit of nerves when it comes to the potential competition.

My big plan is cleaning out the store room(s)! So much stuff needs to find a new home, and that is definitely a huge task! 😅 Nice work on your stuff!

Omg! I love Blood on the River!!!! Such a great novel! It was part of my curriculum When I was a 6th grade teacher and we absolutely loved it. Such a great book for historical connections! I was planning to add that to my son, who is going to be in 6th grade as one of his independent reading since it’ll correlate with our Abeka History topics🤗

I sold all my curriculum I no longer wanted to use in the spring. I had a lot to sell and sold it all in 2 weeks! I was so surprised.

I had no idea that the Sonlight readers would sync up. How will you handle this in the future with your other kids? As it stands now, none of my kids would have their readers sync with the history when I’m looking long term. Now I’m deciding if I want to split my older two kids and have my oldest do B+C in one year so he will be doing both D and 4th grade readers next year. (He’s already had a year of ancient history before we started using Sonlight, but I also had a baby in there and that history curriculum was low priority at the time.)

Did you ever figure out IEW log in? I felt clueless as well when I first attempted to log in to watch the forever streaming. Once you set up your account it is easy to log in and start the lesson videos. There is a teaching video for educators that I watched on double time that was helpful for me to understand the method. My 5th grader is finishing up the last unit in 1A and will start 1B second term. With my 3rd grader I'm going to try IEW's Bible Hero's curriculum. From what I gather it is a simple start to the method of IEW for younger grades. I hope that your family enjoys IEW as much as we have. Happy Summer! :)

I dont enjoy selling curricuoum either. I listed some for sale for the first time a couple weeks back and didn't get any bites, so I feel like I did my due diligence and can just donate it now 😂

Hi Angie! I just finished my first year of homeschool. We have 4 girls…ages 9, 7, 4, and 9 months. I just found your channel a few months ago and it has been SOOOO helpful! Going to be using so light HBL next year and looking into logic of English, abeka for my incoming kindergartener, IEW, and Saxon math. We did TGTB last year. It was our first year and we had a baby so I was just taking it slow. Homeschooling has been such a beautiful thing for our family. I have heard you mention your kids enrichment program and I was so jealous because I thought we didn’t have anything like that around us….but I just realized you live in Denver and SO DO WE! Can you tell me what program it is? My girls did the Cherry Creek options program on Friday last year and it was good but they didn’t want to do it again so I’m not pushing it. We have some friends who do a casual like outdoor activities Fridays that we were going to join, but I know it would help me if I had a little break and would love for them to have something outside of mom too. Anyways, thanks for your videos they have been so wonderful for me! 💕

Are you using RightStart Math? We loooove that program and the games are my daughter’s favorite.

I found that the Lapbook for D was a lot of crafting. The topics don’t align exactly because the lapbook is not produced by Sonlight. But you sound much more put together than I am, so maybe both of your children will like it.

Was that HBL B you were selling? I let my son choose his curriculum from a redesigned list. This year he want Christian Light everything. Path way readers for reading and Sonlight HBL

I hate listing stuff for sale too. There’s never any follow through from buyers and it drives me nuts. If I list something I want it gone right away. So 99.9% of the time I just donate sellable items.

Omg I am in Colorado too!! I started homeschooling 2 years ago and it still feels overwhelming and brand new. I have a 7 and 4 year old. I’m struggling to find curriculum this year and making sure I pick the right stuff.😢 we started with TGAB but switched to dimensions math for my 2nd grader but still have no idea if I want to continue on with the TGAB language arts and also wanting to add in science and history/ social studies while also finding something for my almost 5 year old to build a solid foundation in math and phonics. I’ve been trying to binge your videos when I can.
