Finally a new video! Just a summer play in the sun but hopefully it means I can get editing again! I've had so many videos do play with and editing fails means they are still sitting around on my computer somewhere! Fingers crossed this breaks the curse!

Some of the best levistick work I've seen in a good long while! Fantastic the way you transition from having a shorter string to the longer string. Since I'm still a novice, I totally can't tell how you do it, which is really awesome!

Thank you ^_^ Playing is really the best way to find out what you can and can't do. Make mistakes, lots of them! cause that's when you learn the most :)

Yeah pretty much. After playing with long string I decided to go the complete opposite and use a string that's only 2/3 inches long (after wrapping the long string around my hands) which means I use the elbow - fingertips part of my arm as like an extension to the string which means I can twist really quickly and also means the wand hovers higher than where my arms/hands are :)

Always inspiring to see you play. Shooglenifty is also a favourite of mine to levistick to so it's awesome to see how you treat the same kind of music.

Damn! I'm impressed girl. More tutorials please? I'd love to learn how to keep the wand higher (your hands seem to stay mid wand and my wand is pretty much always below). Is this a trick of shortening the string as you play?

About 3 years now I think, something like that :) I put it down for the better part of a year though because I moved to a new city and new jobs/circumstances etc meant just not as much time to play :) so this was the first real play session I did for ages!

SustainableBabySteps Sorry it took so long to reply, I had no idea how to with the new youtube layout! lol I use a super short string sometimes, so a string that is only maybe 2/3 inches long. It means you have to have constant movement but essentially your arm becomes more like an extension to the string. I'll try and get a tutorial up when the weather warms up :)
