It's OK to work on multiple projects. It's called divide and conquer. Don't be so concerned about what people say or think. To them, they're just sitting on their couch watching you for their entertainment.

you should install Sealing/Flashing Tape or Butyl tape in the window frame first. That will help protect the wood and the gaps.

You could stand the ends of the posts where they contact the ground in used motor oil, won't rot or get eaten by bugs, take them out of the bucket and let them dry before setting in concrete.

Summer, I hate to see anyone have to do something over again. Unless your primer clearly states it is a finish coat - you will need to put a top coat on over the primer. This is due to the fact that primer is designed merely to help with adhesion between the surface it is going on and your top coat to the primer. It is not a finish or top coat which seals out the elements. (I like to think of primer as breathable and it allows water and air to pass through, where a top coat or finish coats seals things out.) Keep up the hard work. You guys are getting a lot done and it is a pleasure to watch. All the best, Tony

Cody, first check blade tension, if that's ok, then sharpen the blade with your moto-tool. Many times, wavy cuts tends to mean a dull blade.

It was a brand new blade.. wondering if i just got a bad blade. I changed it again but havent cut with it yet
@davidbertschinger1110
@davidbertschinger1110 11 ай бұрын
@@CantContainUs Especially in hardwoods, just a few out-of-set saw teeth can easily cause vertical blade wobble. So even with otherwise sharp teeth, you can get wavy performance. I bet a new blade will make the difference, if the tension is correct. Maybe you just got a slightly defect blade, it happens, 'never had a problem with Woodmizer double-hards, (work well in Ozark hardwoods). (You can use a saw set tool to check & re-set, but most sawyers just sharpen the teeth a couple of times, then discard. If you ever hit any metal at all, just replace.)

There should be a bead of caulk between the window and house frame but you’ll probably figure that out after a few hard rains. Operating a chainsaw without eye and hearing protection…yeah I did that when I was young too…living with tinnitus and hearing loss isn’t so bad when you get used to it.

Hi Cody, please check your blade guide to verify its tight to the blade, and not allowing the blade to be sloppy. And it's possible they may be warn out and need to be replaced. As I did checkout the manual for your sawmill for cutting crooked, with what to look for, also recheck your feed rate. It's most likely something small that is causing BIG problems.

Hi guys! Cody, you may have already found your issue with the blade climbing. I am pretty sure that your blade is only cutting on one set of teeth. Sounds like the blade hit something hard and dulled the teeth on one side causing it to climb out of the log. Hope this helps.

Hello Cody, I have a regular stand up bandsaw that sometimes the blade likes to stray to one side, and my fix is to tight the blade. So when you place the blade on and tighten it, there is a standard way to check for correct tightness -- flick the blade with your thumb to listen for a high pitched note. And blades do stretch over time, so Increase tightening the tension on the blade after several cuts. Is the blade getting enough water ? This cools the blade down as well as provides for a smoother cut. Hope this helps.
@kirish43
@kirish43 11 ай бұрын
I agree with this and check with a level. It’s really easy to tighten one side more than the other

Getting plenty of water. It was a new blade, definitely had it tight. Wondering if it was just a junk new blade. I changed it again and played with the tracking but havent cut yet. It looks like the blade itself is angled up. Just confusing cause it was cutting perfect but slow so i knew the blade was dulling, swapped it with the exact same type of blade and it started climbing. Only thing i touched was the tension handle.
