I’m gonna give the background singers some grace..As a performer, I know first hand ALL the things that can be going on (or not at all lol) in those in-ears, that can make it near impossible to get through the performance. Band killing though🔥

@DariusMartin you are correct and thank you for giving grace. As a BGV myself things can go wrong. Wrong mics, bad mix, no eq. I never really let negative comments bother me but when it’s your kid it hits different, lol! I know I taught her well and it’s just sometimes, one of those things…

At first I was annoyed with the comments over Summer overcoming her anxiety but I realized that I was just bitter. Bitter because more people should realize that more performers other than Summer have crippling performance anxiety, and it effects their live vocals and performance significantly. I'm so happy people have taken note that Summer has anxiety and are giving her the break that she needs, however, I hope this is a gateway to cut other people some slack. Because many performers have anxiety but don't speak up about it like Summer has.

This is the first time I saw her perform. And I thought why does she look so absent or scared to move. Then I read the comments and saw that she has anxiety. Now it makes sense, because she is beautiful and has an amazing voice!!
