I am a pretty avid bike rider and have pretty large leg muscles, haha, so it was never bad for me. I could ride two batteries when some of my friends struggled to drain one, so you may be right! Definietly plan on shooting some videos riding and more of my experience with it.

Really not much, a sidewalk or bike path and bike lane works fine. You can do little carves and keep it as narrow as you want pretty much.

So glad I saw your comment. I'm a CASI snowboarder as well and I've been wanting to ask a decent snowboarder a few questions about the summerboard. Could you control speed on the summerboard using turn size/shape (like do short radius turns) instead of using counter rotation? On every video I have watched, people on the summerboard seem to counter rotate A LOT and slide to control speed, like all I see is kicking back leg out and speed checks instead of changing edge to edge with the upper body aligned. I want to get a board to ride and improve my skills on snow in the offseason, the summerboard looks really good for practicing buttering and tricks, but all the counter rotation I see people do to make turns is a bit off putting from a snowboarder's perspective. I don't know if it's due to the nature of the design or the lack experience of the riders. It seems like maybe longboard/one wheel have more natural looking turning motion where the body is more aligned with the board despite the difference in mechanics. Would love to hear your opinion whether or not it's possible to ride with minimal counter rotation since you've had experience in both.

No, not really. You're pretty much carrying it at that point. But you can carry a spare battery. I have two batteries and it's a lot of work to drain two!

Yea, for sure! I'd say better than someone who has never snowboarded but skateboarded. But you really don't have to have snowboarding or skateboarding experience at all to learn to ride it. Just watch the training videos and follow those and you'll pick it up fast. I'd say having snowboarding experience gives you an advantage to learning it faster. I've never snowboarded before, but my friend who snowboards every winter picked it up almost instantly.

I started my boarding career at 31 with snowboarding,one wheeling, and summerboarding almost all at the same time, they all share characteristics that build skills and translate to one another. Having an indoor snowboarding facility where you can snowboard then walk right outside to summerboard right after brought the skills up fast for getting fancy with it. Ultimately when it clicks it clicks hard, the feeling is amazing and the drift is as exhilarating as snowboarding if not more because it’s concrete
