Dance is not politics. Dance before you comment on someone else’s. Everyone put more efforts than you do, or you think they did to come this far. It is not pleasant to see some people who probably know nothing but being so harsh on these professionals. Paradox is amazing not only because how unique his movements are but also he is always supporting others and being humble. This is the real hiphop spirits we should all have. We all love this art from, and we should appreciate every dancer who was there. Please leave some positive messages for both dancers and no mean judgements.❤

I particularly like Lumi’s 2nd round. He really showed the essence of HipHop and how it’s not about accumulating many moves but showing your grooves and feelings through the variations of foundations, and story telling through the development of a single move. Plus his musicality is always sick with all the details and nuances which make dance a beautiful thing.

Got dang so happy for Paradox. Was 2013-14 he first started appearing at SDF past pre-lims? Well deserved, he killed it! I remember Paradox said he used to get laughed at in the beginning. His perseverance is inspiring!

And maybe for the video editers : I always love how this competition is filmed but this year, there were sometimes change of scenes with focus on the reaction of the public or on feets of the dancers. I found it not very useful. What is interesting and what we want to see in dance videos is the whole body of the dancers without any cut. So we can see every variation of the dance :)

@@kveezy23Lumi just has that chill lazy flow, but he didn’t deliver as much as he did in previous rounds. For example his round against spider and Joseph go were elite. But in the finals my man was rly not putting in everything he had and got beaten flat

I think all dancers at SDF should just say they won, leave it to the crowd then maybe they'll just change it to a decibel meter for every round even the earlier ones, get rid of the judges, such a weird format

The expectation that every dancer must choose style with athletic displays of energy is a complete misunderstanding. Lumi is great. His interpretation is always very consistent. "It's like lumi didnt care at all", "Lumi makes me believe i can dance", "how the fuck did he get into final even", "How did Lumi get to the finals dancing like this" what`s wrong with you people.

Lumi and to a degree alex are good indicators of one's understanding of dance and hip hop. Some people ask these questions geniunly and want to be educated but a lot are just oblivious and blind to their style. Yes lumi makes you believe you can dance, because anyone can dance, it doesn't need to look like olympics on streoids acrobatics to be dance, all it needs is beautiful sync with the music. Dance after all is movement led by music. Not acrobatics on the beat. And lumi, makes you hear the music and the harmony in it. He's so dope and I'm happy dancers like him get to far in SDF.

I’m so glad Paradox won. Im gonna be honest and say that I’m not exactly sure how Lumi got to the finals 🤷🏽‍♂️ The difference in skill level and overall expression, technique, and musicality is so clear between them, Sow didn’t even put up a fight. Rubix and Paradox would’ve been a better final for sure

I am a big fan of Paradox in terms of technical movements... but Lumi shows me that dance is not all about moves but how you groove along with the music. All the comments here saying that Lumi does not deserve to be in the Final..... watch it again hip hop is not only about movement. Personally, I think that Lumi is more on beat compared to paradox, but Paradox gave more energy into everything he does which might have shifted the favour. Anyways, props to Paradox for taking it all this year!

On beat? Paradox dances to every pocket. Maybe you don’t hear the other beats? Lumi dances on the 1,2,3,4. Kevin Paradox dances on words, sounds, little inflections that other people might miss. I’m not sure I’ve seen any dancer with his level of musicality tbh? And i’m a dancer myself.

@@hipethenomadmaybe i worded it wrong, I never say that paradox was bad, i even agree that he won the battle, I am dancer as well, but for me having a constant flow in dance makes the dance more fluent and smooth. I am also a fan of paradox, he has a wide technical movement to use which i think he did amazing especially staying in the pocket of different instruments. Lumi is great at adding layers upon the fundamentals. While Paradox is expert in changing up his movement according to the instruments in music. All around he gave more energy to his dance so i think thats why he won. 😅

I don't know why was Paradox crying but I know he's coming from pretty far and had very difficult months due to his previous injury, I'm glad he came back and was able to win such a big tournament with all the love he has shared to us on the scene. Hope he will achieve every of those good things he want to achieve in the future
