I just visited Summerlin this past July and the one major turnoff is ALL OF THE HOMES LOOK THE SAME! The exterior's are virtually identical, and either a khaki or salmon color with not much more than a few feet apart from the next door neighbor. The homes are mostly set in cookie-cutter sub divisions, and they sit very close to the street; there is little to no front yard. Anyone considering a move from the Midwest (like me), will need to be prepared for a dramatic change to the curb appeal. It is very different to what we are used to seeing.

Thanks for watching and your comment. It’s valid, especially coming from where you’re coming from. Sounds like in Vegas, you may like an older neighborhood in a non HOA community where the lots where bigger and homes all different. More vintage Vegas.

I really liked the newness of Summerlin, and maybe there are homes that I would find more appealing, but what I viewed would definitely be an adjustment. My price-range is roughly $800K.
