Hello!
you have landed on this fun area where you will learn a little bit about Autism and how the world around it is discovered.
Our daughter was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 2 with level 2 in both areas (communication and social) the levels can change during her lifetime anywhere from 1 to 3 with 3 needing the most support. She can be reevaluated at age 5 to see if anything has changed especially since she does receive therapy. She is verbal but has Hypotonia (low muscle tone) and has displayed signs of Pica (mouthing or eating of inedible items) which has fortunately become less and less. We share what we know and hope you enjoy with us these magical moments as well as learn a bit about autism yourself. Come along and learn how she interacts with these toys which are not necessarily specialty toys.
Today we will unbox a new water toy, go to the splash pad and play with a true classic, the grow capsules (NOT SPONSORED) I loved these during my childhood. Did you play with these as well?
Being the youngest of our 3 children we are soaking it all in and seeing how she processes things so differently from our other two has shown us to take our time and take a look at the world from a different angle. We love helping her open her toys and observing how she advances each day in her speech and fine motor skills.
We hope to give you a glimpse into daily life for an autistic child while having fun opening toys. A bit of fun and a bit of educational info that may inspire you to try new toys if you happen to have a special needs child. Maybe you are simply here to see what are key signs of autism. Either way we appreciate all of you checking in to see us.
