This is the second installment of a series I am doing on rebuilding my new-to-me (but very old!) Traxxas Summit! If there's changes you'd like to see comment below and I can try to implement them when filming in the future. I am going to try to produce episodes of this series on a weekly basis, to be released on Friday, with the series wrapping up with an EPIC running video!
The Summit has been a dream rig for me ever since it come out (big tires, locking diffs, and a 2 speed trans - too cool!), so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get one. Unfortunately I had to trade away my really nicely built Slash 4x4, however that sat on a shelf most of the time, so I figured I'd use it as currency to get something I really wanted. Unfortunately this beast of a truck is no longer available new from Traxxas so you can only get them on the second hand market, and they're only going to get rarer and more beat up with time, so I'm glad to scoop this one up, totally unmodded or otherwise ruined, just needs a LOT of maintenance as you'll see in this video series!
Can't wait to create adventures with this new rig, especially in the snow. Stay tuned!
