Summit1G rages & goes crazy over Hunt Showdown solo Necromancer after returning to game (3 years)

He plays with a friend who is a Hunt regular 4 star enjoyer, and his brother who is brand new to the game and trying it out for the first time. Summit encounters this brand new solo Necromancer trait and then all hell breaks loose.
Do you agree or disagree with him? Does solo Necromancer need any tweaks at all? Or is it perfectly fine and healthy for the overall future of the game?

@@h.b.635 he used to play. My friend and I talked about this. He thinks his opinion matters. I’ve played this game for the past 2 yrs with 1100+ hrs. In this case just because you have played doesn’t mean your option counts. The game evolved without him and he thinks that it’s worse. The problem is he is wrong but he doesn’t know it.

@@df_productions I'm with you. I have almost 3k hours into this game and I have been playing since early acess. The developers are really dedicated. Shifting meta is necessary to keep it fresh and balanced. You have to adapt. Hunt has always been a game you have to adapt to. It's part of the fun.

9:03 this dude is so garbage. Worst thing is that he's playing the game with a newb and a 4* that only understands the game well enough to not be a three star apparently. If you are new and watching this thinking solo necro is op: all they had to do was rotate to the north of the compound to put the solo between them and the team that was pushing in. Instead they let themselves get sandwiched and turned a 3v3v1 into a 2v3 (with one of those two being new af) by having a dude do nothing but watch that body.

Like there may have been hundreds of people that watched this one terrible example of how Hunt shouldn't be played and will be like, "Oh. This person hates it. I won't try it either."

Wrong! I'm not sure what your bar is as far as respectability goes but a four-star is certainly above average and his KD is well above 1.0, meaning he slays more than he dies for sure and not one thing that his friend said I disagreed with. And no he couldn't just simply rotate around to the other side of the building cuz the guy would have got up this moment he did. As someone who plays Hunt in a random trio for probably 30 hours a week, this whole "omg, we have to babysit the solo body?!?!" situation literally comes up maybe once a week, if that. Summit and his buddies just don't understand Hunt. No reason a coordinated team in coms should have any issue with dealing with that body, certainly not some dudes who play as many fps games as they do for an actual living.

come on it's something completely different. Using necro on a team takes you out of the fight, you can guess it's happening and expect the corpse to get up in a few seconds or rush in to kill the one picking him up. When you rush the team or at least occupy them with fighting their dead member will not suddenly rise behind your back. Solo necro is a cheap trick, listening and waiting for a good moment to get up and shoot someone in the back without any downside

Solo necro is not that hard to counter once you learn how to play the game. That being said if they limited the max revive to 2 times it would be better. Also solo necro also makes the game a lot more viable to play by yourself. It’s a good addition

I don't necessarily believe that limiting max revive would really do anything, seeing as you would at max have 100 hp after dying twice, which makes you one shot to basically anything non-npc related.

whats better is THEY HAD A FIREBOMB *AND* THEY KILLED THE GUY 3 TIMES..... literally the guy AT MOST had 75 hp but they also burned him for AT LEAST like 15 to 30 seconds meaning they probably were close to near dead on their last 50 bar meaning a firebomb on the body would ensure even when they get up, they get re lit instantly and AT LEAST they are forced to run for cover as they put themselves out slowly likely still in the line of fire but more likely, they burn out long before they get any distance.... beyond that ignoring the firebomb, they coulda pushed forward into the construction building and had summit keep an eye on the guy from there with even just a bornheim cause with like proly around 25 to MAYBE 50 hp depending on how much lingering fire dmg they had to that last 50 bar, even a bornheim hitting their foot from 15m to 20m would proly 1 shot the poor bastard OR they coulda run into the main building and let the guy be watched and finished by the guys outside. that ENTIRE situation was their HORRIBLE misplay after misplay that they wanna pretend wasnt their fault and so blame on necro saying shit like how they get 5 chances to get back up ignoring that duos can get 10 chances and trios can get 15 and worse, they can actually have infinite with the bounty token and the peacekeeper trait meaning its a total battle of attrition against the solo in actuality... full stop their failures where theirs and theirs alone and its annoying to see dumb bastards with a platform complain about shit they barely understand but think they are experts on just cause they have a platform............

Fr so true. Honestly really the best I can say here to summits gameplay is skill issue. On that part with the dude rezzing himself there's a dozen things they could have done to prevent a loss there. Like maybe perhaps placing the solo between them and the other team?

As a new player I don't see any issues with necromancer. If you have a molotov he is done. Molotov burns for 2 minutes. Or something better have a corpetine trap a he is done again. What I don't like is that you can abuse necromancer to go to easier lobbies just by dying multiple times. It counts as a death every time when you revive yourself and die again which is bad.

He's an FPS veteran, and he's a lower skilled player at this game, his viewpoint is way more important than most people's since we get to see it through a new player's PoV and he can articulate what is possibly wrong. Saying newer player experience doesn't matter is what kills a lot of games, i know cuz i've seen it happen in other games. Too many rules/changes get made to please elitists and it ends up making newer player experience bad, which means you run out of new players

The only time solo necro should ever fuck you over is if you made a really bad decision, or if you yourself are also solo and you kill them from far enough away that they can just get up and go to cover. In this example you could kill him, burn/trap him, then move from your position to a more favourable one while also putting the solo in a terrible position, as he is now sandwiched between two teams. The only thing I'd say they should do to nerf it is only let you do it once per game, and make it more audible.

I was thinking that Necromancer should act as a burn trait for solos. You can use necro on your team as often as you want, but if a solo uses it to revive himself, the trait burns and he can't do it again

Watching top streamers from other fps games try to play this game with people who've spent hours learning the mechanics is just torture. I have over 1k+ hours in this game and I know to rotate way before that team comes in and not stay in the open with the whole team. Spend time in a game before you criticize how bad it is.

I have hella hours in hunt, but summit does bring up some good points, don’t get me wrong I love this game, but I don’t think solos should be qing against 3* when they themselves are 5* and before you come bitching and moaning at me, I’ve played solo when I’m at 6* and it’s just not fun not having a challenge since 99% of the people you vs in solo are bots.

This is stupid, unnecessary and boring. Try standing back and looking at it from a distance - you defeat someone and instead of continuing to play you pick up their gun and shoot at the wall and kill them again a few times along the way to make sure that when you turn around they don't shoot you in the back - is this a good game mechanic?

I play Hunt all the time, I agree with Summit's view on it even if he doesn't play it all the time. He knows what good gameplay feels like, and it's not Solo Necro I'll tell you that. You don't have to have a million hours in the game to know its not a good feature.

I applaud Summit1G for being honest on this garbage. Most Hunt streamers just don't care and do the garbage circus with solo-necro no problem.. because you know... -easy circus money-😏(they don't even care about their followers LOL).
