Ya, if they wanted to make Sea of Thieves good for PVP, they should have made it so that you earn more money/chest for every chest that you turn in within 10 minutes. So, if you only collect like five chests and then turn them in, they wouldn't earn a whole lot. But if you waited to get a lot of chests on board before turning in, you'd make far more money/chest overall. Then, of course, they should have had way better stuff to buy that would cost a ton of money (armored sections of the hull, better cannons, maybe a locked captain's quarters that enemies would need to beat their way into to steal your chests, coats/pants with more/deeper pockets so you can carry more bananas, boards and ammo on you, etc.).
