I am a 64 yr "young"woman. My youth was difficult and lonely . I recently filed for divorce from an 43 yr marriage. I had a covert abusive partner. I learned since my 40s that my Sun, Venus, Mercury and SN are the 12th. So I was an easy target. But I have grown and finally strong enough to leave! I have kids with special needs, so I have a very 12th house life. But I think it is my mission in this life to learn to balance between being of service for others and setting boundaries for myself. I think I am finally on my way now!

I'm a Leo sun in the 12th house and it makes me kind of bummed when I get stereotyped with the loud and crazy Leo's. I'm extremely reserved and I agree that I am mysterious. My father worked overnight ever since I was born so he slept all day and I rarely got to see him awake. When he was awake he looked dead from working so much. Aside from that he was extremely, strict. Im 19 now and we meet sometimes on holidays. As someone who has a stellium in the 12th house in Libra and Scorpio, as a child in school I would pick up the handwriting of my desk partner - every time a student would change, so would my writing. My father's parenting style made a tremendous impact on my self-esteem (or should I say a lack of it), ability to express or voice myself, and hardship with identity and life purpose. Only when he passed away in my early 20's did I freely began my slow journey of self discovery and was able to forgive him completely, realizing it had nothing to do with him but my own lessons to live. As I journeyed into adulthood, spirituality became my most needed place of refuge in various life's crisises - from health to relationships - and the bliss and fulfilment I would encounter at times is not comparable to anything of this world! Since childhood, I would be fascinated with holy people, monks and recluses. Often, as I speak, I sort of leave my body and start observing myself from a distance - a very uncomfortable sensation. And I would always prefer solitude to any activity. At the same time, I'm painfully connected to everything and everyone in the world. I'm burdened by people's suffering and find a need to constantly pray on the world's behalf in order to, hopefully, alleviate some of it. Nevertheless, with each year of my life, I feel myself ripening in my true potential, and as if life is just beginning for me... No regrets, no blame, no doubts - only blessings in disguise...🙏

I also think that for the ones with the Sun on the 12th house the father it’s missing and have issues with their Mother as well, either she’s absent most of the time - like an abandon kids for years or just a personality that didn’t match and create disputes and struggles

im a cancer sun in the 12th house. most of what your said is so true about me. the father, the loneliness the extreme compassion, the detachment from reality. ive been saying for years to those around me that i feel like im out of my body, that i feel like im having a dream all the time and they dont get it. i dont even know how it is to be "here now". and that makes me feel completely alone. my problem is, i dont like spirituality. i spent two years in that and it just didnt do it for me. i love individuality, being different, being special i like bad traits of people because they make them more interesting. the whole oneness and spirituality thing sounds too perfect and boring to me. i like drama and aside the compassion i feel for others, i am definitely full of dreams and desires that are for my self. and i would never let my self and my needs down for others because i care about my self just as much i care for others. if i would want to teach something to the people around me, that would be, how to be completely selfish but recognizing that everything around you is a part of your self.

Wow yes, I had a dysfunctional father - he was a Leo. He had mental issues n addictions specially in alcohol. I didn’t connect with him at all. I didn’t like his energy either and wish he wasn’t my father growing up. Yes, he was always tired, slept a lot, hated working, etc. He passed around Scorpio season last year. It was a relief in a away cause he brought so much unneeded drama too. Was very toxic. He also had narcissistic tendencies so I couldn’t be around him. Which people would not understand. Saying why I couldn’t forgive him, his energy was just toxic for me to be around. I’m now learning to set boundaries around my 30s. Because people take advantage of your goodness.

Despite my father always being there for me, as I was growing up, I did feel a strong emotional disconnection from him, I have memories of feeling completely cut off from him at times, but in retrospect, it was all illusory. My father doesn’t suffer from addiction (he beat that before i was born, thank goodness) but he does suffer from severe anxiety and ocd. I remember as a child hearing him wake up at night screaming from night terrors, which certainly had an effect on me. I have a 12th house Sun and my Dad, and Mom, have been ever-present for my entire life. They are still married. If anything, for me it is an ability for non-verbal love between me and my Dad. That kind of bond is definitely there. More than with my Mom, though I am close to both of them. However, my Dad's Dad was a Pisces Sun and an alcoholic. So there is also that. My Mom's side doesn't have any of that. I am also an alcoholic, atypical, social only.

This fits me really well, including the addiction. I’ve kicked alcohol and prescription drugs to the curb. I use cannabis to help me absorb some of the shocks from the outer world. I have no problem with it. I will continue to use cannabis until my last days.

I tend to zone out and feel like everything is a dream when I'm in a very crowded environment or when too many people are around me. Something in me just disconnects. After I had my son via an emergency C section, my doula told me "I'm not in my body". She said she could tell I wasn't connected to my body and I wasn't even looking at my scar. I guess it was my way of coping. I don't even remember feeling pain after the C section besides the first morning. After that I felt fine. The nurses even cautioned me to not be too rough with my body. I was really disconnected 😢😢. Thank you for this ❤

My father drinks a lot usually in living room And im in the room next to his studying, playing games, having my privacy, It's like we Are emotionally detached as you Said. Yes, me to a "T" as well. I have my sun and venus here as well. I've never been close with my dad, strained relationship since I can remember. He was abusive when I was a kid / teenager and at one point moved out to give us all some space. He has been a workaholic since I can remember. Addicted to work I suppose! That is where he feels his worth / power. He has been absent ever since I can remember. It's only now (I'm 31) that I can actually have a normal conversation with him. He's gotten better over the years. Also, yes about self-sacrificing. I have to limit this and tighten the reigns from time to time so as not to totally forget myself. I do social work with individuals with special needs for a living. It's how I feel my worth. I do feel others view me as someone to "use" at times and have to keep tabs on that a bit so as not to let others take advantage. Thank goodness for my Aries sun and mars in capricorn in the 8th. Also yes to the artistic tendencies. That was really the only thing most other kids knew about me in school because I was so quiet. And YES YES YES about liking my alone time. This is on point! I’m a 12th house Sun and you’ve described me in many ways. Also have Mars, Mercury, Moon, Chiron, and North Node in the 12th so there’s a lot going on here for me. My parents divorced when I was 7 and I’ve never had a close relationship with my father even when they were together. He was depressed and angry from having his first wife and mother of his first two children die tragically years before I was born. Really interesting that you mention feeling dissociated from reality and in large crowds it’s like you’re in a dream. I have felt this way for almost 10 years and have not been able to resolve it. I’ve thought it to be some sort of brain fog but now I’m wondering if I’m just not grounded and my energy is too open. I’ve also always had problems with drugs and alcohol since I was 13. The feelings they feel only hurts because they are judging what they are sensing. Believing that what they are sensing shouldn't be. I find it such a paradox, because they are always associated with oneness. yet they keep themselves separate from oneness by judging. It's this unwillingness to purely feel/sense without judgement and projecting beliefs onto what arrises within them and within the world that gives them pain. Judging is painful. Because it's what causes the separation - from the Divine. Sensitivity in its purest form is sensing without judging. This and only this is what it means to be without ego. I've heard some say 12th housers lack ego or can't find it. But this is the tricky way their ego manifests. The ego is ashamed of the things of being human. So it denies them and judges them. The most evolved 12th housers are those who come to realize this. And it's those who can clearly see reality as it really is, at its oneness level. Without a story, without a narrative. And without a need to escape.

My father was always around but when I was 18 my mom finally came clean and told me he was not my biological father. As a kid I didn't feel a connection to my father. And I always felt like he wasn't emotionally there for me. My sun is in the 12th house along with Mercury.

Wow, loving this video. Your explanation is spot on in many ways. My Sun in 12th, my biological dad was not present in my life and he was addicted to drugs. He's recovered from the drug addiction, we have a cordial relationship now, even though I have forgiven him, there is so much space between us, I'm a bit cold towards him still. Also recently found out his father is not his actual dad. Crazy.

My moon is in Aquarius ♒ and I get it about drinking to numb myself for many years from my teens up until 2017. I had to give it up and then I became a comfort eater. I love ❤ myself now and accept myself for being so loving 🥰 And I wonder why I’ve had fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue since my early 20’s. Lmao my father was in the military and it was like a revolving door with him. He was monetarily there, but he always wasn’t around as much as he should. My father doesn’t have an alcohol addiction but he’s married 4 women in his life & I think he is codependent. He’s now in my life more than he’s ever been, buuuut I still feel there’s not a father bond. He just feels like a person I know. It’s hard to look at him like my dad.

Like I needed him there emotionally..He would withdraw to his room a lot with the door closes and stag there. He also drank a lot. I remember always questioning my mom about God and time and the universe. I knew we were all connected in some way. And growing up, I did feel alone. And I did fall into depression at times. I drank because I liked to just feel happy and not care. I don't anymore because I'm on a spiritual path but I longed for a spiritual path too. I have this in d9 navamsa chart(derived from sidereal natal chart) and most of what you're saying has come to the surface as I've gotten older (I'm currently 22). I've been looking into whether the d9 chart could be taken as what we unfold into or we 'encounter on our path'(in as much as it represents the strength of the natal chart planets) using the esoteric astrology basis of sagittarius, as ruler of the 9th house, hence the use of natal chart interpretations like this one. I'm planning on doing the same for the other divisional charts but I'm on d9 and d10 now. Thank you for this... It's one of the most comprehensive one I've seen so far.

Mine had worked on the tourist boat cooking. As he was chef there when he came home he didnt have a feeling for family how to be have and that should be. He had treated us like his boys co workers in boss position And than older sister actually have spent time on the trips with him. I did not, i came to late he was in retirement early. I had scared of him and he was to me like a stranger in the house. I was kinda ashamed to be a child and a girl also. But i forgive him. He wanted to go asap to escape his Family actually dad because he also is a twin brother but to much controled by his dad. Other one was opposite ofc and goofy. Now he has 74 years and i see that he isnt young anymore like he was. And thats make me sad because je didnt felt love and he doesnt understand world today but i see in him that he is also sometimes sad and worried face like a little child. I also have Mars in cancer in the 12th house and Chiron in gemini in the 11th house 😢 i'm 39 and my dad has also been absent from my life due to alcoholism. Sadly I had to establish strong boundaries with him because I'm also a mom of a 7 year old autistic boy and my job is to protect him and his energy as much as I can. in this lifetime i'm doing all that I can to be of service to others and pay back as much Karma as possible. I love my dad and I pray good things over him but sadly the no contact is what's best for us all right now. 😢

Thank you for your videos. This was very accurate about my father. I have leo sun in the 12th. Even before I knew anything about this placement I decided to stop drinking for 2 reasons: first, because of my father's drinking problems and second cause drinking leads me too deep into the worst part of me. It's interesting that you feel like it makes you calm and therefore can become an addiction. To me it really just makes me feel so very sad and depressed. So I decided to stay away from it since I'm focusing on being the best version of me. I feel that meditation is the best way to be in contact with the deepest part of me without having all the negatives of substance use. ;)
