Sun & Moon is a captivating Hmong short film inspired by the traditional folklore of 'Nkauj Hnub Nraug Hli,' narrating the origin tale of the sun and moon. It unfolds as a timeless Romeo and Juliet narrative set in the dawn of creation, where light and darkness are yet to exist.

Our vision for this project has always been to illuminate the rich tapestry of Hmong folklore and stories. As independent filmmakers, we've encountered limitations but strived to maximize my resources and knowledge to bring this film to life. From pre-production to post-production, the journey has been challenging, demanding dedication and a steadfast vision every step of the way. Ultimately, we're grateful to have produced this film, contributing to our collective stories and enriching our shared history.
