Sun Princess is the brand new ship from Princess cruises. Not only is she a brand new cruise ship for Princess cruises she is a new class of ship, the Sphere class. We sailed on Sun Princess in March 2024 and we checked out the whole of this stunning Princess cruise ship out.
Onboard the Sun Princess we took a look at the embarkation, the cruise food, marked our Sun Princess cabin for facilities and comfort. We took at look at the Princess entertainment, the world renowned Princess cruises Service, the ports we visited on Sun Princess and finally we asked did Sun Princess offer us Value for money??
In all of our cruise reviews we mark each cruise subject out of five given them a total score out of 40!! We add the cruise ship to our cruise leaderboard, will Sun Princess get a better cruise score than our leader Cunards Queen Mary??

Great review! When you mention the Park 19 sports court, do you know if includes a basketball court or at least an area to play some hoops?

Hi Kikky. Thanks for watching and your kind words. Yes you can play some hoops in middle of Park 19 in sports court. I believe it has fixed activities and general play time.

2nd instalment of 4Bs tonight, good stuff!! That’s interesting about your scoring. Easy Jet, yep, no complaints there. Seems weird embarking in the middle of the cruise, but sure it’s all fine. We mentioned on your last video about the atrium, it really does look great!! Was that Cirque du Solei meant to be onboard? That’s cool, we’ve seen quite a few Cirque Du Soleil shows and have friends who’ve worked for them, very cool! Loving this video, very fast paced and snappy! We still wouldn’t be bothered with the gym 😂. No promenade deck? That’s a shame, we love walking round the whole ship. The cabins look fine, a good selection of various sockets. Can’t even begin to spell the T….aki restaurant but it looks amazing! Overall the food looks great. Good to see the crew looking happy. Ship life can be hard. Rach worked on ships for about 4 years. Silent disco…everyone seems to love this, not us haha. Gareth Oliver is excellent!!! We had his DVD. The Lido looks really great. Loving the Queen (and Adam Lambert) video. Shame the shows weren’t up and running when you were there, no excuse really, especially as you were already a few weeks overdue. Good choice of TV. Ah Kusadasi, we went there years ago on Celebrity Galaxy (now Marella Explorer) when we met a brilliant guy who ran a coffee shop that didn’t serve beer, but got some in for us, and it turns out he used to work in a city half hour from us, ‘illegally in a leather shop’ 🍻. 4 out of 5, pretty good!! Great video! Really enjoyed that!!! 🍻

Hey again and thanks again for watching. It was a shame about cirque de solei, would love to them. It’s all down to the delays in finishing the ship meant the acts agent been onboard for that long. 🤣🤣 you would love the teppanyaki. Yes all ships have silent disco’s now! People should watch this summary (and your other videos), but remember that the prices vary greatly depending on the cruise's **date** and duration.

Thank you for watching Michael, yes couldn’t agree with you more, like any company the cruise greatly depends on the time of year/ports visited and how long it’s for, this is just a very small snapshot of 5 days, but we will definitely be heading back onboard to experience again 🙂

Enjoyed your vid Thank you Am sailing in November on Sun Princess from Ft Lauderdale. Am coming back to cruising after approx 23 years so have seen quite a few changes. Not only the ships but with the constant rip off of extra charges! Everything apart from drinks and tips was free and specialty restaurants were around $20. Now it’s a charge for anything so we have bought the plus package and will be giving the specialty restaurants a miss. That is of course at the moment but you never know what will suddenly change as the cruise lines see another opportunity to rob you of more cash. I must admit what started with the memory of previous cruises a vacation to look forward too is turning into a oh what are they charging for next!!😊

@@davidcorbett62 , the $20 you quoted is a minimum of $35 today (probably more; I think that the official inflation rates are low balled) due to inflation. Up to $40 is a reasonable guess. The cruise companies are trying to reduce their debt that increased during COVID-19 shutdowns. The demand is strong, so they have no incentive to make the cruising cheaper. If they have to, they will make changes to lower their operating cost.

⁠@@michaels3003. I assume you work for a cruise line going by your biased comments… Going by your assumptions the cruise lines had made no profit prior to covic??? Of course they did It’s not passengers place to be cash cows for cruise companies.. Passengers will pay what it costs for the base expense plus a reasonable profit. Yes All transport means ie flights trains etc are all experiencing strong demand but that can soon change if they feel they are being ripped off and when you check the comments many are beginning to wise up to what’s really going on

Good review but in view of 95% of passenger reviews being 1* or 2* , I’m doubting the honest validity of your review?

Hi Rich thanks for watching and commenting. This was completely my honest view, I picked up on the fact I was disappointed with the things not open, which reflected in the score. Other than that I couldn’t find much fault. That’s the joy of reviews people all have different opinions. Would like to return though when fully operational to get a further view.
