Love the way that Ra and the band/dancers completely go for it despite the small and not very interested-looking audience. Genius is not, I think, an over-statement. Thanks for posting.

Wow! Just stumbled across this. I saw the Arkestra do this same show at the Venue, Victoria London in 1982. So very happy that you posted this because those shows were sensational.

and all this in front of what presumably are "jazz fans"... po-faced bunch of purists! Normally here in Germany those guys (and girls?) would stomp out after about 10 minutes, but looks like they've been superglued to their seatd.

We all know buddy rich had fast hands and played very tight, but people need to stop regarding him as so great. He couldn't of pulled off a solo like that nor would he sit in this band too well!

"The living mystery", is a play on words, Re was an alternative spelling of Ra, so it's "Mister.Re"
