#1- NEVER play online at any stakes #2 - never think that any strategies, luck, successes, etc will transfer toa a real cash game in a casino it will not.. you are delusional if yuo think otherwise #3 - never play $1/1 or $1/2 unless buy-ins are greater than $250 as the rake will average more that your profits... it is a negative equity game #4 - you can learn by reading quality poker books and seeking a solid poker mentor OR you can lose a lot of money constantly before you sort of wake up and realize you have no plan #5 - momeny management is everything! Even pros like Eric Lindgrin, Chino Rheem, and Dwan busted losing all their nbankroll and skated on money owed to others #6 - NEVER EVER loan money to any poker players anytime for any reason especially if they are friends

Yo, Ethan. It's Tom from Springfield, from the cruise. Here's why you shove that AK on that last hand: the best he could have is trip jacks, which you could still run down with draws to the nut flush or the nut straight. But, you were correct to reason that he shouldn't be so aggressive with top set on such a disconnected board, so maybe trip 6s or 4s, still unlikely with the big bet. AJ? Maybe. But the biggest reason for you to shove is that he only has 25K, behind.

Poker is so easy to play when you can see the cards😅 you are drawing almost dead against set and better cases you are flipping with your opponent (most of the bluff is coming from gutters), I don’t think it’s a shove AT ALL

@joeiborowski9763 Ай бұрын
Have you ever been in a position like this with a tight player playing for 4 figure pots? If not, you will fold too, easy game when you can see the cards especially if you are in a downswing like Rampage. He was down 1m a few months ago, that affects your play. As Phil Ivy once said; " If you are running good, you play good and if you run bad, you play bad. From my own experience, that is true.
@joeiborowski9763
@joeiborowski9763 Ай бұрын
@@keyboardmanyoutube3189 Even if you think the the opponent has AJ, he is drawing to a 3 outer and a runner, runner flush which makes shoving asinine. And even if you think he has a 3 or 8 , you would think he could have an ace too and you will be drawing thin also. I would had put him on a decent pocket pair and folded with him knowing that I bluff a lot. I call this wannabe youtube poker. Easy game when you can see the hole cards and have no money at stake. Everyone thinks they can win the WSOP if they have never played often and long to see the variance in this game and remember the times they lost big with stupid shoves. This isn't a low buy in tourney, this is real money, and 38k is still a lot of money even for Rampage especially when he is still down 700k.

9:22 - "aw man, that is a bad play by me" - the results of the hand don't change whether or not your decision making was correct. Bluffing with the ace of clubs here doesn't seem great, bluff your 98s and your baby clubs and that's enough. Nh imo!

Ethan I think you do a really good job of trusting reads as the hands develop over multiple streets and you're calling vs folding. What you really lack is discipline punting when you're the aggressor, almost as if you just throw complete caution into the wind. That A5 and 88 hand you could have lost $6k vs $20k by just playing a little less aggro. Those types of hands determine winning vs losing years. You can't just bank on $450k pots to save your career. The goff KZfaq space is very saturated so I'd really not like you to go broke lol

How does one go from taking 4 or 5 months to get back $10k to having the bankroll for $50-100 and doing a $1M bankroll challenge two years later?

You're not unlucky! When you have a top pair and a decent kicker, you check. When you have a preflop draw, you raise. And instead of set mining with 88, you three-bet. Being on the stream doesn't justify poor play.

The rampage of old used to be fearless aggressive, put more money on the table, squeeze plays, huge bluffs. It was the element of surprise and reputation that made him winning those big pots. He also lost bigger pots. The new rampage looks scared, often a chaser The new rampage looks scared, predictable, stayed too long, raised out of positions, misreads, doesn’t adjust plays, doesn’t maximize winning pots.

Casinos love a losing player who is chasing. It's the wrong mindset. If rampage doesn't slow down and recover slow, he will wreck himself.
